After school on our way home, my friends and I were ambushed by a group of mercenaries. 'Why is it always us who gets attacked after school?' I thought to myself while repelling their attacks. Craig started laughing. "Watch him run for his life! Funny, isn't it? A rat like you got powers?" From my heart, electricity spread across my body, ending the transformation with horns of fire. I stepped forward, in my Thunder Armor, as their bullets harmlessly were ricocheting off me. With a flash of my eyes, many afterimages appeared. They all rushed in to attack, heavily confusing the mercenaries and Craig. They braced for impact as I rescued my friends. "Thanks." Dan said. "You're welcome." Ashley surfed waves of ice towards them, freezing them in her trail. Craig tapped something on his phone, and called someone. "Um, Dad? Yeah, the trouble kids are back at it again." He reported. "Crap. His dad's the mafia boss. You don't know how many men he has." Dan said. "Haha, you're all dead! When you die, I'll piss on your corpse!" Soon, several armored trucks pulled up, and we had to repel armies of angry mobsters. I created several Thunder Armors for my friends to use. I sped through their lines, knocking most of them out. Too busy attacking, I couldn't worry about my defense, thinking that the Thunder Armor would be sufficient protection. If only I realized what sent me flying... Craig? I probably ran into him. The angry golem marched toward me, swinging like a brute. The world around me slowed down as I landed several hits on Craig, just like what I had done in my first year at school. His rocky exterior crumbled away, as I sent him flying with an axe kick. 'Vengeance,' I thought to myself. The men shouted something along the lines of: "Defend boss' kid! Or we're going to die!" They focused their forces on defense now. Ashley threw a giant snowflake at them, covering all of them in a layer of frost. Dan rushed into them in his unbreakable form. This was sufficient to get them to start retreating. But before they could, Ashley froze a wall behind them. As Dan called the police, we started to get ready to go home, and as the police showed up, they thanked us for arresting the mobsters. Apparently, they were on the loose for a few years, and had even corrupted some cops. We left for our own ways. 'Three children assist in arresting local mafia' were the headlines for the news that night. 'Children? We're teenagers now.' I thought to myself as I readied myself for the next day. Packing my bags after checking my schedule, I brushed my teeth as I got in bed. 'Living alone has its merits,' I thought, as I drifted off to sleep.
