Emily's POV,

"Have you ever wondered what hurts most: Saying something and wishing you hadn't or saying nothing and wishing you had."

"Come on Emily!"

I ran as fast as possible, jumping when a branch tries to grab one of my legs and following behind my half brother Nico.

We've been running for about 5 minutes and trying to avoid obstacles of other Demigods. I loved running. I like the way the winds caress your cheeks and my black hair whips around.

I keep looking down and concentrate. Nico and I passed the Demeter kids but now we had to avoid arrows being shot to our body. We can't kill anyone so they only can shoot at unimportant body parts which can be healed with ambrosia or their powers.

Woosh

I sprung to the right, avoiding the arrow just in time. I saw Nico doing the same only more arrows were shot at him than at me. They thought he was dangerous? They clearly haven't met my fighting side.

Woosh

Another arrow was being shot at me. I managed to avoid this one as well. I started running again but as I ran I caught a glimpse of my shooter. He ran from branch to branch in the trees with a bow and arrow ready to shoot. I recognized him. He was one the kids who helped me in the infirmary when I was attacked. I didn't catch his name but I did know he was quite handsome.

Woosh

I grasped my ring and it transformed into my sword. I just had enough time to swing my sword and stop the arrow before it stuck into my leg. Damn Apollo kids have good aim.

Eventually I lost the Apollo kid since I was faster than him and can take more. I continued running as I looked up again and smiled.

The blue flag.

I could almost hear victory but that soon vanished as I saw the person who was guarding the flag.

The one and only son of Poseidon, Percy.

I could feel my brother Nico shadow traveling beside me as I hid behind a tree looking for a way to get the flag. With Nico here I could use him for a distraction while I go and grab the flag.

I smiled evilly and without warning shoved Nico into the clearing while I shadow traveled behind the flag. Percy seemed to take the bait a.k.a Nico and charged at him while I picked up the blue flag without hesitation.

"Hey Percy! Missing something?" I yelled at him innocently and mischievously.

Percy turned around shocked while I was trying my hardest to keep from laughing at his face. You see, Percy Jackson Never Lost.

And now I guess he did.

Slowly I heard clapping around us and realized everyone stood around us. They must've known I took the blue flag. Conner and Travis came towards me an patted my back. They were twins and children of Hermes which is the reason they are my partners in crime. I like anything mischievous so we often do pranks, especially to the Aphrodite kids.

Chiron, a half goat creature, came strutting over to me and raised my hand with the flag in the air as victory. The cheers got louder and even the blue team had proud smiles on their faces.

"The winner of capture the flag is the red team! It's not often the red team wins but now thanks to Emily Summon, daughter of Hades, it's fair. Congratulations." Chiron said over the crowd. "I need to talk to you Emily. Come to me in the big house after you're done. Its important." Chiron whispered to me as I nodded, confused at what it could be. I tried to recall a prank I caused but I didn't do a prank yesterday or today.

Suddenly my legs were grabbed and hoisted upwards. My butt landed on two shoulders and I soon realized Conner and Travis sat me down on their shoulders. I relaxed a bit and laughed.

After a long night of partying I went to Chiron in the big house. I knew the way because I go to Dionysus sometimes for some wine in return for a prank I have to do on someone. I'm the only person Dionysus actually tolerates and he gets my name right. I like his wine because I like alcohol. I'd rather have some whiskey or tequila but wine will do.

As I walked into the big house I noticed Chiron was sitting in a chair and Dionysus was on the opposite of him. There was a wine bottle on the table and a bottle of whiskey next to the bottle of wine. Dionysus was angry at Chiron for something as they were in a hushed argument. Something must be clearly wrong for Dionysus to be angry and wine and whiskey on the glass table.

I cleared my throat to let them know I was here and they immediately stopped but my after Dionysus glared at Chiron and looked at me in sympathy. Dionysus and sympathy don't mix well.

"Emily, you might want to sit down for this." Chiron said offering me the seat next to Dionysus on the couch. I was confused and desperate to find out what Chiron had to say but I patiently waited.

"What's wrong? Because I didn't do anything. I didn't do any pranks yesterday and today so there must be something wrong." I asked confused out of my mind.

"This might be hard for you but... You're mother is dead." Chiron said looking at me in sympathy as I was fuming inside and close to tears but everyone knew I don't just cry. I always hide my emotion and don't want any sympathy or pity.

"H-How?" I stuttered angry. If only I had been there for her.

"She drowned, along with your aunt and uncle. Your cousin Elena managed to live. We knew your aunt and uncle died because they were in the car but your mother swam out of the window. She drowned and sunk deep into the water where no one could see her. Elena didn't remember much of it and thought your mother escaped the car so there wasn't any search party for her. Eventually your mother's work noticed her absence, especially a blond friend of hers. He found out she drowned and has now custody of you. Your other aunt Jenna died too not a long time ago for an unknown reason and that blond friend has now custody of Elena and Jeremy too. I believe his name is Alaric Saltzman and he lives in Mystic Falls. He sent us a letter that he wants to bring you to Mystic Falls." Chiron finished.

I was utterly shocked as I quickly picked up the whiskey bottle and threw it down my throat.

"I don't need your pity and sympathy so just get it over with." I said emotionless and drank some more whiskey. Dionysus took the bottle from me and placed it back on the table as I pouted.

"Since he has now custody of you and he wants you to live with him in Mystic Falls you have to go. You can explain your situation to him and come back if he allows you to but for now you'll have to live with him." Chiron said.

"When do I have to leave." I asked.

"Tomorrow." Dionysus answered "I'm not actually happy with you leaving. You're one of the kids I actually tolerate and consider my own kid but I can't stop this. I'm sorry Emily Summon, daughter of Hades."

"I'll leave tomorrow then. I like you too Dionysus and consider you my second dad but don't go all lovey dovey on me please. It doesn't suit you." I chuckled as I picked up the whiskey bottle and threw it once again down my throat, making my stomach feel as if it was on fire.

I walked away smirking and went to the Hades cabin where I broke down in tears. Nico came and comforted me and it helped but I still had to leave. I packed my bags for tomorrow morning and went to sleep for the last time in Camp Halfblood.
