Emily's POV,

"There is no good or evil, only power, and those to weak to seek it."

"Hey!" I called out to a blond haired boy who was about to walk around the corner in the school. Elena was there already, I just had a delay.

"Hi. Uhm who are you?" The blond haired boy asked.

"I'm Emily Summon." I said shaking his hand.

"I'm Matt Donovan. What are you doing here? I never saw you at school?" Matt asked.

"Oh I just moved here. My cousin invited me here. She said something about senior prank night?" I asked Matt in confirmation.

"Yeah. I'm about to join them too. What's your cousin's name?" Matt asked.

"Elena. Elena Gilbert." I said.

"Elena?" Matt asked in recognition.

"Yeah. You know her?" I asked.

"Oh I know her. She is my friend and ex-girlfriend." Matt explained.

"Okay. Do you know where she is?" I asked him.

"No but probably in a classroom. Come on. We'll go together." Matt said taking my hand and walking inside the school.

It was a little spooky in the school but I'm used to dark places. Although there was a moment we saw a shadow but it quickly went away. Matt seemed to know the place and guided me around the dark and spooky school. When we arrived at a classroom where we heard clattering and Matt stepped inside even I was shocked. Mouse traps went off where Matt stepped and further into the classroom luckily we weren't hurt. Matt quickly set on the lights and to our relief we saw Elena, a blond girl, a tan boy and a dark skinned girl.

"Oh come on! Seriously?! Do you know how long it took for us to set all this up?!" The blond haired girl exclaimed.

"Forgot about senior prank night, huh?" The tan boy asked.

"Clearly." Matt said.

"How could you forget? We've only been waiting for this since like freshman year." The blond haired girl asked.

"Yeah Matt. If I'm doing this, You're doing this." Elena said.

At this point Elena noticed me standing behind Matt a run overexcited towards me to give me a hug. Problem is, I don't like hugs and if I hug ya it's always awkward.

"Emily, meet my friends." Elena said introducing us. "Emily these are Caroline, Bonnie, Tyler and you already met Matt. Guys, this is my cousin Emily, she just moved here."

"Oh my god. You never told me you had a cousin." Caroline said excited.

"Me either." Bonnie said smiling.

"That's because we haven't seen each other for over 8 years." I said smirking, swinging a arm around Elena's shoulder.

"Then why did you move here?" Caroline asked.

"I just found out my mother died along with Elena's parents years ago and my dad is dead too. Alaric is my new guardian." I said simply as if I didn't care.

"Oh, sorry. Well, I hope we can go shopping sometime." Caroline said.

"Yeah, deal?" Bonnie said sticking her hand out to shake mine. I shook hers smiling but my smile soon vanished as flashes of the war with Gaia flashed through my eyes. Bonnie was looking into my memories? She's a witch. I quickly forced her out with teary eyes and looked at the others as if nothing happened. Bonnie looked at me with a sad and broken face but also admiration. I guess she looks broken because of all the deaths she saw. "I'm sorry. So so so sorry." Bonnie said quietly so the others didn't hear her as she pulled me in for a hug.
