In the hospital {Author pov}

"Congratulations, Mom and Dad!" exclaimed y/n cheerfully while entering her mom's ward. "Thank you so much my baby. Anyways, how was school?", her mom asked while holding her new-born baby-girl, who was silently sleeping on her chest. "Well you know as always......but Hobi-shii really annoyed me today, don't know why he sometimes behaves so weirdly ...... hahaha", y/n said, pouting, making her parents giggle on her cuteness.

"Anyways mom, she is so cute. I can't wait to play with her and see her grow", y/n exclaimed in excitement. "Me too, sweetheart", her mom said looking at her baby. "But promise me that you will always be by her side and treat her like your own sister. You will protect her from all the danger and troubles", her mom added.

"Of course, mom. She is my sister. My own baby sister who I will always love the most, more than you too", Y/n said mockingly to her parents. "Aishh this girl..", her father said, making both her and her mother laugh.

Today was the happiest day in the life of Kim family because after so many years of struggle, they were finally blessed with a new child in their life. Y/n biological mom had died when y/n was just 12 years old.

So that she wouldn't lose any mother's warmth, her father decided to marry y/n's babysitter after 1 year as she was so close to her and wouldn't mind it . But things weren't the same. Y/n became angry at her father for marrying another woman after her mom's death.

She thought that the babysitter got married to her father only for his money because he was a multimillionaire. However, after some time, she started to love her step-mother as her own mother because of her love and care towards y/n.

2 years later, her parents wanted to have a new child so that y/n could have some company with her. But due to some problems her mother couldn't get pregnant. There were only 7% chances of her getting pregnant as her first baby had died during labour. That had happened 1 year ago which led her mother to go into depression.
But now after 4 years, her step-mom was again blessed with a baby-girl, which brought lots of happiness in her life.
(Guys don't get confused, here y/n is 19 years old.)

Back from the flashback. Still 3 years ago.

Nurse came inside their ward. "Mr. Kim, please come to the reception to pay the charges", she said. Mr. Kim nodded.

"When are we going to get discharged from the hospital?", Y/n's mother asked the nurse. "You will be discharged in 2 days, mam", Nurse replied with a smile.

After 2 days.

Mr. and Mrs. Kim and y/n were walking past the reception out of the hospital with their new family member when-

"Please stop there, Mr. Kim", someone said from behind making all of them stop on their track. All of them turned around to look at the direction from where the voice had come. It was the same nurse who had been with them earlier. She came running towards them, "I'm sorry, Mr. Kim, but the baby needs to remain here for some time. We need to do some check-up on her", said the nurse panting.

Mr. Kim's brows furrowed. "But you told us yesterday that all the checkups have been done. Now what checkup do you want to do? " Mr. Kim asked, his eyebrows still in an arc-shaped frown.

"Sorry, but we need to check up her height, weight and many other things before you take her", she said, and continued, "Don't worry. It will take only some time to complete. One of you may stay", she then smiled. "Okay I'll st-" Y/n's father was cut-off by his phone's ringtone. He picked up the phone, it was his Secretary, Mr. Wong.

"WHAT?!" He suddenly yelled in the call. "Ok, I'm coming", he said and cut the call. "What happened?", both y/n and her mom asked at the same time.
