Sitting in Pop's you perk up when you notice Ronnie walk into the shop. Your heart race picks up a little and you bite onto your bottom lip as she walks over to you setting her purse onto the table with a smile. "Hey, It was mildly suggested that I come meet you here" She says with a small laugh and you smile a little "Thanks for coming" You reply because you didn't think she actually would have. She quirks a brow with a smile "What did you need?" She asks looking you over and you flush with color fiddling with your hands in your lap. She steals one of your hands into hers on top of the table. "I just... I wanted to tell you how.. You looked really pretty at the dance last night.. I'm sorry about what happened I just.." You trail off when she starts to play with your fingers making you even more nervous then before "It's alright, You didn't have anything to do with what happened and you were really sweet afterwards. So, I should be saying thank you for helping me after" She says sweetly and smiles.
You blush darker and meet her gaze. "You didn't deserve any of that.. You're amazing and he's just a big jerk" You admit and she giggles softly shaking her head. "To bad there isn't someone sweet to mend my aching heart" She says a little dramatically lacing her fingers with yours and you inhale sharply when she does. "Um.. I.." You stutter and she raises a brow "You what?" She asks urging you to keep talking "I'm right here.." you murmur softly and she smiles like she's been waiting for you to say it.
"Then why are you sitting here dumbfounded and not asking me out yet?" She pushes softly and you go crimson "I-Will you.. go out with me?" You stutter again and she giggles softly "Finally, Sure cutie I'd love to" She states with a smile "Pick me up tonight at 7" She continues before pressing a kiss to your cheek and grabs her purse before walking out of Pops sure to give you a wink before she does.
Your heart does backflips and you're feeling giddy beyond belief. You leave Pops with a huge smile and you ask Betty for help planning the date she was your best friend and also the one who "highly suggested" that Ronnie come and meet you.
