Chapter 6 (Rewritten)

Rosé POV

It's finally field trip day and I'm so excited to go to an amusement park again. I sat on my bed and grabbed my phone to text Lisa.

Me : hey Lisa. Are you ready for the field trip?

Lisa : yes. Me and jisoo are gonna go on so many rides. I'll be called the amazing person who rode the most rides and wasn't afraid of them.

Me : you're gonna try and show off to jisoo and you're also excited to be with jisoo. I just know it.

Lisa : and you're gonna be with the girl you've had a crush on since 7th grade. Don't act like you're not gonna try and show off also. 😒

Me : I'm not though, so.....

Lisa : yea whatever. see you at school, bye.

Me : bye Lisa.

I giggled and put my phone on my nightstand.
I heard a knock on my door and went to go open it.

"Are you almost ready?" My mom asked me looking at my outfit. I nodded and smiled. She stared at me for a second and I thought I did something wrong.

"Aw you look nice, btw breakfast is ready downstairs." my mom turned around and walked to the kitchen.

"Thanks." I yelled a little and I heard my mom soft giggles.

I skipped down my steps and sat down at the table to eat. "You cooked pancakes, my favorite!" I said and stuffed my mouth with a half of a pancake.

"Woah slow down." my mom said worriedly, but in a playful tone. I nodded and finished eating my pancakes.

Once I was done my mom asked me a question that I didn't expect.
"When are you going to get a boyfriend?" My mom asked as she was washing the dishes.

I choked on my delicious pancake and paused for a second. Little does she know, I'm gay.

"I-I...." I couldn't say anything at all so I just sat there, looking at my empty plate. My mom turned around to look at me because I was so quiet.

"Wrong time to ask?" My mom looked at me.

I nodded slowly and stood up. I should probably tell her about my crush on Jennie but maybe later on.

Minutes later I heard a hunk outside my house and I looked out the window. Of course it was lisa like always.

"Bye mom." I yelled as I was heading for the door.

"Bye roseanne." my mom wave at me and continued to wash the dishes.

I arrived at school with Lisa and we both got out of her car. I looked around the parking lot and saw jennie and chanyeol laughing with each other.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. I seen jeongyeon and walked over to her.

"Hey jeongyeon!" I said and slung my arm around her shoulder.

"Uh hey chae." she said and pushed my arm off.
'This is awkward.' I thought to myself and she avoided eye contact.
