new feeling | kageyachi

cornered

nothing could really describe what yachi was feeling as she was cornered by this figure. it kept making her step back multiple times until eventually her back met with the cold stone wall. the sound of her heart pounding invaded her ears meanwhile her small frame trembled horribly from fear. sure yachi wanted to scream and say something but nothing could come out of her small mouth. it was as if her world stopped all of the sudden or maybe she was just so filled with fear it stopped her body from moving even an inch. so there she stood back against the wall cornered with no escape only watching closely what the dark figure would do. the figure was now inches away from her but she didn't care anymore she couldn't do anything. then the figure spoke up and said,

"ah hitoka chan what are you doing?..."

yachi was expecting this person to instruct her to go into the back of some sketchy van or something but that wasn't it. as soon as he spoke her brown eyes widened as she realized this tone of voice was familiar. the way the voice trailed off and the way her name rolled off the tip of his tongue was like no other. she came to realize that this person was kageyama! so she replied,

"tobio-kun?"

"tobio-kun!"

and before he could say anything back to her she leaped into his arms and buried her tear stained face into his chest. she let his familiar scent invade her nose while in his arms. kageyama was somewhat taken aback by this sudden embrace of hers. the two of them have only held hands but this really was a new experience for the two. and although the two have never felt each other's touch like this it was as if they had done this before. both of them so comfortable and snuggly like they had done this a million times before. and while in his arms in a muffled voice yachi started to blabber about getting kidnapped and about almost dying. then in a soft but shaken voice she spoke saying,

"tobio I'm just really glad it's you! I really thought you were some pervert out to get me,

she sniffled a bit then quickly said

"wah I just assumed you were a pervert I'm so sorry! ah and I'm also hugging you without asking sorry!"

she quickly backed up and started to bow and mumble a bunch of apologies. when she rose from her bow she was then again yanked into a comforting embrace. mumbling a bit kageyama whispered to her,

"you don't have to apologize it seems like it was more on me I cornered you and I also didn't come to this place earlier..."

his voice trailed off and he began to stroke the back of her head softly. she felt his fingers delicately run through her hair leaving flustered and quiet. the two stayed in the embrace with a comfortable silence in the background. kageyama broke the silence by saying,

"uh so about the small shop I wanted to take you to, uh do you still want to go?..."

yachi replied back with,

"yeah we should I mean I wouldn't want to make it seem like we came here for nothing right?!"

her voice sounded cheerful and happy to kageyama making him form a small smile. he let go of her and patted her softly on the head saying,

"alright let's go."

even if it was just a small gesture the head pat made yachi all flustered because it was from him. who knew he could be so soft around someone. so the two went along pushing into the door of the small shop making a little ringing sound. they spent quite some time in the small shop and then they hurried up when they realized how late it was. kageyama got a bunch of dairy products meanwhile yachi got handfuls of her favorite sweets. their night finished off by walking together home in comforting silence. they walked home with his rough hand interlocked with her small delicate ones. that night was calm with a couple breezes sweeping by accompanied with the moon shining the path they were taking.
