"me? you want me out of everybody else to study with you?" asked yachi with what seemed to be a twinkle in her eyes. she balled her fists in excitement and exclaimed that yes she would!

you tried so hard to not make a disgusted face. it really irked you seeing her so happy and lively. but you forced a smile and went along.

so the two girls went on their way heading to the library while making small talk.

arriving at the library entrance you spotted a random table near the windows. you grabbed yachi by the hand and dragged her over to the table.

you both sat down and it was quite awkward and silent.

"soo y/n you said homework help right?"

"I-uh actually no I said the upcoming quiz study guide thing yeah um the notes for them!" you lied hoping you sounded convincing

"oh that well um I already completed it! but you could look over my notes if you'd like." exclaimed yachi while nervously rubbing the back of her neck.

geez of course she already did them! that's some real nerd shit...
you thought to yourself fighting the urge to burst out laughing.

"wow really now?! look at you yachi all ahead and stuff!
you must have alooottt of free time."
you quickly said pretending to gush all over her.

"it's really nothing ahaha," said yachi laughing kind of awkwardly

she handed you some notes and you quickly took them in. you scanned over the notes desperately looking over for some sort of mistake.

wait what the.... these notes are actually pretty good. what the heck not even my notes look this fancy but so organized and detailed....yeah but im not telling her that
you thought to yourself with her notes in hand.

then you glanced up away from the notes and viewed yachi. you thought it was a good opportunity to take a real close look at her. yachi was sort of blushing and fiddling with her fingers under the table on her lap.

you spoke up and said,
"hitoka chan oh my god! these seriously are some cute notes ahaha,
now let me take a real quick pic of them okay!"

you pulled out your phone and began snapping multiple photos like it some sort of professional photo shoot. however yachi froze when she heard you use her first name for her it was a bit unexpected considering how she just met you and all.

glancing from your phone and looking at yachi with a annoyed look you said,

"what? can I not call you hitoka chan or something? you know
you can call me by my first too or whatever.."

and then you put your phone face down on the table.

"so does that mean we are like friends now?"
yachi asked all gushy and happy and even rising from
her seat a bit inching her face near your own.

you backed up a bit and replied, "yup we are friends now come on why wouldn't we be-"

abruptly a phone went off in the background with a girly little sound as the ringtone. thinking it was yours you looked down but it wasn't your phone...

you looked up and saw yachi holding her phone which danced around in her hands meanwhile looking down at it all flustered unable to move for some reason.

you took the chance to peek over at her phone and saw the contact name which was...

now you knew why she was as red as a tomato! her little boyfriend or whatever was calling her! and yachi finally snapped into reality and rushed outside to take the call.

wah who knew kageyama and her were that close! they even have each other's numbers and all! what if they are like exchanging nud-

your thoughts were then interrupted by yachi skipping back into the library with a stupid smile plastered over her cute face. she then spoke up and said,

"y/n it was really fun being here with you and all but I have to go somewhere..."

"really? what a bummer we were just beginning to mingle and all gee..." you said letting out a loud dramatic sigh trying to sound sad.

"actually I'm really sorry but it's just someone really important called and so I have to-"

you cut her off by saying,
"ah I see you mean your boyfriend huh..."
you snickered at her with a sly smile.

you smiled even wider and folded your arms while watching yachi break into all shades of red as soon as you said the word, boyfriend. she couldn't even respond back so you spoke up and said,

"actually you know it's fine and all I get it plus my mom is probably desperately waiting for me to get home sooo let's just exchange numbers real quick yeah?!"

"ah um sure!" yachi managed to squeak out

the two of you gathered the belongings and then quickly exchanged numbers. after all that you two rushed out after saying dramatic goodbyes to each other.

running your fingers down the patterned strap of your bag you looked up and pondered,
ew I wonder what kageyama called that blondie for... she doesn't even deserve to be with him ah,
still looking up you watched the sky and saw how the clouds began to fade off and the sun setting in. you walked home questioning a lot of things.

yachi pov

i walked to the place kageyama said to meet up. it was some small shop he said he wanted to take me to. and even though it was quite late I agreed to meet up with him. since I'm kind of a slow walker I got there when the sun was completely out of sight.

I looked around hoping to see a familiar blue eyed boy but no luck. I began to wonder if he somehow forgot or what if something happened to him on the way here? still not seeing him I decided to call him and ask.

so I went to a dark little corner by the shop and pulled out my phone about to call kageyama. but before I could I got an instagram notification and I just had to open it. it was a notification from kiyoko's account! she had posted a really pretty picture of herself and it already had so many likes.

so forgetting to call kageyama I stayed in the dark little corner on my phone leaving comments that hyped up kiyoko on her post. I even reposted it to my story so everyone can see! ah but seriously she looks so pretty here I thought to myself...

and then I suddenly remembered about calling kageyama! just as I got on the app to find his contact I hear something in my surroundings...

I was in a little corner near the shop but it was just me and no one else in sight until I heard and spotted a somewhat tall figure approaching me. this dark figure was clearly taller then me and for some reason it was coming towards me! I couldn't even see very well who it was nor could I move from the corner I was just frozen there feeling my heart almost burst out of my chest while the figure came closer...
