  Bri's POV
Paul and I run out of the house as fast as we can. I grab the railing and make a sharp turn. Paul and I run all the way to Strawberry Field, a local Salvation Army orphanage and John's favorite hiding spot. John and I used to jump over the gate and play in the garden when we were little. I jump the gate in a flash and wait for Paul, who seems a little timid. "It's alright, really,I do it all the time. We won't get caught, I promise." I say beckoningly. He looks at me longingly for a quick second then jumps the gate. He falls hard and gets dirt all over his denim jeans. I laugh a little under my breath and and help him up.

We cut through the brush and make our way to the garden. John is sitting on a concrete bench smoking a cigarette. I grab the cigarette out of his hand, throw it on the lush grass, and step on it. He glared at me and questions, "Why did you do that?" "Because we need to talk love." I answer as Paul and I take a seat on the cold concrete slab on either side of John. I give a look to Paul and he adresses the matter. "You need to pick on y'know. You can't be with with two girls John." "Yes I can." He says as he takes out another cigarette. "Who's gonna stop me." "John, you have to choose one. I don't know Cynthia or anything, I bet she is a great lass and all, but Sadeen really loves you." I say as I take the cigarette away from him as he is lighting it.

"Fine." he says has he gives up the argument and trying to smoke. "Now will The Matchmaker and The Matchmaker's wife excuse me, I have a movie to go see with Sadeen." he starts to walk away then pauses. "I'd pick Sadeen over anything. Just to make that clear." He says as he vanishes into the tangly forest of weeds.

Paul gives me a smile and we hug. We pull away awkwardly and he laughs a little under his breath. I look at him and say, "Race you back to the house!" I start running towards the gate with Paul on my tail.
