Sadeen's pov

We make it to Ray's five minutes before opening time. Our boss's skateboard is in a parking spot. Apparently skateboards are cars now. I look our boss, but Ginny doesn't for some reason. She calls him words that are too mean to share. (The kids y'know) Our boss is a few years older than Gin and I. Why he doesn't have a car, I've no idea. Why I don't have a car, drivers tests are difficult and confusing. Bri has no problem driving me everywhere though. Bless her.

We walk in and there he is. High and mighty as ever. Remus, his name, stands at the door with a scornful look on his face. "You two were almost late. Where were you some orgy perhaps?" He smiles at his own joke and walks to a record player. "I would have opened without you and I would have had to do all of the work. I don't want to do fucking work. That's why I hired you fleas." He says as he puts a record on the record player. Bri rolls her eyes and I go make sure all of the records are in order alphabetically. Bri hates when things are out of order. I think the correct term for it is OCD. Remus couldn't care less.

The day is quite slow and I start to get bored. The bell on the door rings as two young chaps, our age by the looks of it, walk in. Bri straightens up at the sight of them. They walk around the store and the black-haired boy picks up a record. Bri walks around the store and tries to look unnoticeable, but she fails because who can hide in a record store. The boys walk up to the counter and place three records on the counter. The boy with the light brown hair catches my eye and I start to get red in the face.

A loud roar of thunder comes from outside. Bri jumps out of her skin and almost drops a record. Remus bursts out laughing at her. The black-haired boy turns around abruptly then turns to face me. Bri waves Remus away and continues to look at song on the back of a Chuck Berry record. Weather in Liverpool is so bipolar. One minute it's beautiful and blue skys, the next minute it's grey, gloomy, and rainy. It's pouring so hard outside it's a hurricane. "You guys shouldn't drive out there. You can stay here till the rain let's up if you would like." I say to them as I ring up their total. The cute one replies, "It's not like we have anywhere else to go. Right Paul?" Paul snaps out of his daydream and nods his head. "Thank you for looking out for us. " He smiles and I blush.

I ring up their total to 3.04 pounds. I hand Paul the records and he has an expression of a little kid on Christmas morning on his face. "Sadeen is a beautiful name." The cute one remarks. "My name is John. John Lennon. Pleasure to meet you Sadeen!" "Pleasure is all mine!" I gawk. "Would you like to go to the cinema with me tomorrow?" John asks boldly. I feel like I've been hit with 1,000 bricks and my stomach does a flip. "I- yes-yes I would love to." I sputter. He smiles, winks, then walks over to Paul would is conversing with Bri and making her laugh. It's nice to see Bri laugh and let her guard down.
