After the ceremony, Nadine left for the bathroom. I figured she wanted to be alone with her thoughts, so I left all the crying people and the depressing atmosphere.
I walked as fast as I could in the shoes with little heels, making around the building where I slumped back against the brick wall, closing my eyes and exhaling deeply.
"Needed an escape too, huh?"
I jump and stand up straight, pushing away from the wall. It was the same boy from before, and he was still staring at me, but he was smiling now, and looked a hundred times frendlier than before.
I was stil upset, so I responded with, "What's it to you?"
He laughed. Who laughs at a funeral? "I was just trying to be friendly, gosh, don't bite my head off." He paused. "I'm Sagittarius."
I snorted. What kind of name was Sagittarius? "If by indroducing yourself you think I'll tell you who I am, you're sadly mistaken, Sagittarius."
He kept grinning. "I figured that. I already know who you are, Brielle, so it's no trouble."
My eyes widened without my permission. "What - "
"I know what you are," he whispered, and then he was gone.
