Sagittarius.
Oh, how I love that name. I admit, I thought it was stupid, but now I see the beauty in it.
He shines like the stars.
I saw him again in the square the day after the funeral. I must admit, it was perfect. I was wearing my favorite sundress and my hair was in a tight knot, and I felt extremely confident. He caught my eye and did a double-take, immediately dropping what he was doing and running over to me. He stopped right in front of me, brushing his hand against my arm. "Hi," he said breathlessly.
"Sagittarius," I said, trying not to giggle. "What a surprise."
He smiled almost timidly, a sharp contrast to how he acted the day before. "Not really. I've been searching for you." He looked around. "Brielle, can I be completely honest with you?"
I nodded, a little scared of what was coming next.
"I can't stop thinking of you," he whispered.
Since then, we've met every day. I haven't told Nadine much, I don't want to upset her. Flaunting my happiness right now is not a good idea.
Today, I'm dashing down the cobblestone paths to our meeting place at the dock. My hair is whipping behind me and I'm laughing; I haven't felt this happy in ages.
When I get there, I see Sagittarius waiting with two bikes. He smiles and embraces me with a hello and says, "We need to travel today. I hope that's okay."
I nod rapidly, pulling my hair up so it doesn't cause me to crash. "That's perfectly fine."
"Okay, Brielle. I'm gonna show you something that you're gonna love more than anything."
