Morning Professor

Ethan Latour

The first day of classes had gone pretty well for Ethan Latour. Transfiguration and Herbology, went by too quickly to recall. School had never really been much of a struggle for him, but he must've put in the least effort of all of them, dreading every second of classes.

Ethan took his seat next to Nikki at the front of the classroom, directly in front of Blaise who was chatting quietly with Daphne Greengrass, another Slytherin from their year.

"Welcome back to Defense Against the Dark Arts" came a voice from the teacher's elevated office. "I, Gilderoy Lockhart, am happy to be returning as your professor this year"

Ethan leaned over to Nikki as Lockhart stood at the top of the steps, "Our teacher is hot. Fucking hot"

Nikki slapped his arm lightly in response, but it was clear that it wasn't an uncommon opinion. By the looks of the other girls in class, almost all of the students attracted to men, were attracted to Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. The pair could see Hufflepuffs Hannah Abbott and Jessica Foster particularly swooning, jaws practically on the floor as Lockhart glided down the steps to the classroom.

Unlike the girls, Ethan had more distinct thoughts about his professor from the moment he arrived.

I love his hair. I love his teeth. Great smile. Great Body. He looks like he would take care of me.

"Ethan" Nikki interrupted his thoughts, seeing the gears working in his head, "He's like twice our age"

"Yes? And?"

"Merlin" she rolled her eyes as she laughed at his insanity.

"I hope by now" the Professor continued, "you have read my autobiography, Magical Me, and a few of my other works. I assume you are all familiar with Wandering with Werewolves?"

Many heads nodded aggressively, still captivated with Lockhart.

"Voyages with Vampires?"

More head nods, and even some hand shot in the air.

"How about Travels with Trolls? A personal favorite of mine I must say"

The girls were practically jumping out of their seats letting the teacher know they had done their research. Ethan raised his hand with the rest of them, although he really hadn't read any of them. He never read the required reading before class. It's called a break for a reason, he argued in years prior when Nikki scolded him for slacking off.

His calm attitude must have gotten the attention of a certain professor, for Lockhart took a few steps closer to their desk. "And what is your name?" he asked, flashing a charming smile directly at Ethan.

"Latour" he returned, "Ethan Latour"

"Well since you seem to be quite knowledgeable of my work, Mr. Latour, care to guess which of my books we will be starting with this semester?"

Uhhhhh

"I'm going to keep it totally real with you" Ethan conceded, "I have absolutely no idea. But I promise you I'm excited to learn whatever it is."

There was a hint of something in his voice that caused Lockhart's smile to settle into a smirk.

"I like you already, Latour"

He turned to address the entire class once again, "We will be taking a journey to a creature native to Ireland-"

"Break with a Banshee!" interrupted Hannah Abbott overly excited.
