Everyone went into hysterics as the bombs exploded.Which is to be expected; it's a fucking explosion. But little did they know that it was all apart of the plan. Baby looked at Tokyo and gave her a slight smirk, Tokyo returning the expression.
"They're attacking the bank," Palermo muttered. "The bank is under attack! Seal off the building! I repeat, seal off the building!!"
This caused the crowd to scream and cry, making Baby smile. They then escorted everyone to the library while Tokyo and Nairobi went to get the Governor.
"You're safe here," Palermo started. "There's nothing to worry about among writers and poets, right? Stay calm."
Baby then appeared next to him, peering down at the hostages like a predator staring down its prey.
"Raise your hands," she instructed, causing confusion to spread among the crowd. She then lifted her own hands. "Like you're in a robbery." Her eerie smile sent a chill down everyone's back as they raised their hands like they were told.
"Good." Palermo slowly started to unzip his green uniform, revealing the bright red jumpsuit underneath. "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Palermo. And I have 2 pieces of news for you: one good, one bad. The bad news is that the Bank of Spain is under attack. The good news is... that we're the ones attacking you muchachos!"
The screams and cries of terror caused a devilish grin to spread on Baby's face. Denver looked up from where he stood and saw that smile, the smile that made his flutter, the smile he used to see before leaning in and giving her another kiss, the smile that he doesn't see as often since that night.
"Calm down! Calm down!"
The hostages, now more frightened than ever, stood literally shaking in their boots as the people who they once believed were the National Guard there to protect them changed into their red jumpsuits and revealed that they were the attackers themselves.
Palermo slowly descended down the stairs. "From now on, you are all apart of our wonderful family of hostages. You'll enjoy some days of total disconnection. So take your masks and put them on please."
"Put on your fucking masks!" Baby exclaimed, her eyes glaring bullets. This then caused the hostages to frantically put on their masks. "That's much better."
The hostages could practically hear the grin on her face, confirming their thoughts of her insanity.Frankly, her insanity was one of the things Denver loved most about her. Her crazy matched his crazy.
Baby understood him like no one ever did and didn't try to change or fix him. And he didn't try to change her. They got each other and were, in so many words, perfect for each other. And that was all ruined by the lack of 3 words, 8 letters.
"And so that no one feels tempted to play hero, you will all hand your cellphones to my colleague Denver here."
"Everyone hand over your phones now."

"He's such a cutie. What's his real name?" Raquel asked. There was still a few months before the heist and they were all eating outside the monastery. The little boy was playing with his toys dressed up as a Dalí.
"You should ask his godfather." Everyone looked over to Denver. He was leaning into Baby's side, his hand gripping the inside of her leg.
"Cincinnati." Everyone began to grumble in disbelief. "It's the truth. Monica liked the name Cynthia when she thought it was a girl, but...," he trailed.
