~Just a Cullen Story: Re-Vamped~

A/N: This story is getting a complete overhaul. Originally I wanted to leave it as is, as a reminder of how far I have come as a writer, but now it is really bugging me. So I will be leaving the original up, but posting this version as a new story! So please enjoy!

I was cuddled up with Edward on our bed in the cottage while Renesmee slept peacefully in her room.

Staring into the liquid depths of Edward’s eyes made me think about our life, and how it was at a standstill due to all the various aspects of it. I knew the main reason we stayed was for Jacobs’s sanity, but we couldn’t stay here forever, everyone was growing restless, and I could feel it.  

“Edward.” I started hesitatingly. “I think it is time for us to discuss moving from Forks. I know the family is growing restless here, and I know we are still here to make things easier for us and for Jacob, but in reality, I am ready to start a new chapter.”

He looked down at me with a slight smile on his lips. “Love, I think that’s a good idea, but we should probably discuss this with the rest of the family.”

I went to jump up off the bed to run to the main house to ask right away, but Edward caught me around the waist and pulled me to him.

“Not yet, I am sure everyone is otherwise occupied at the moment. Why don’t we wait until morning?”

I glanced at the clock and noticed it was only two in the morning. Yes, Edward was right, no one would appreciate us barging in and interrupting them.

“I suppose since we can’t go to the family just yet, I might as well call Jacob and ask him to come over in the morning, he can sit with Renesmee while we meet with the family, then we can let him know of our decision.” I was just hoping he would not put up a fight about it like he did when Renesmee was born.

Jacob sounded worried when I told him that we were planning a family meeting and we needed him to watch Renesmee for a little while. I reassured him that there were no looming threats; we just needed to have a discussion.

I am sure withholding the real reason might be a bad idea, but I didn’t want him to do anything rash while he was waiting for a decision to be made.  

“Hey Jacob, please come in, Nessie is still sleeping, but I am sure she will be up soon and ready to play soon.” I said as I greeted Jacob at the door.

Edward pulled me out the door as soon as Jacob was settled in the living room. We were running at vampire speed towards the main house, as the excitement of our impending move raced through us.
