As soon as their first professor left Moonbyul who was sitting next to Sanduel infront of Jin turned back and said " The new guy looks completely fine. What do you think?"
Sanduel rolling his eyes also turned back and said mockingly with a sour look "well ,well look who is crushing on the new guy." Yoongi snorted and added "she gets a crush on everyone she meets"
Moonbyul raised her eyebrows "well one thing i am sure is that you are not in the list". Yoongi faked a gasp and said sarcastically "oh i am soo hurt. It's so unfair..~~". Moonbyul scoffed and crossed her arms feigning annoyance. The three boys started laughing and soon Moonbyul too started laughing along with them. At that moment with his friends Jin had forgotten about the new guy, the ring which had removed and kept in his pocket and his worries. Everything was perfect. He had a great friends, he was handsome, good in studies no one matched him........ yet.
The day passed without a hitch and when time for lunch the four people made way to the cafeteria. They sat down on the table and were about to start eating when a commotion was heard. They turned their way towards the commotion to find that the popular girl from another class called Irene who held the second position in most beautiful women on campus list was trying to talk to Taehyung but he completely ignored her as he started walking searching for an empty table. As he stood eyes raking over the cafeteria Irene came up to him again and tried talking to him.
"Can you leave me alone. Just get the hint" he told in that deep voice of his irritation clear as day in his tone. Irene was either very stupid or very stubborn because she still tried to make a conversation with him. Maybe the former because she always failed to make the college toppers list.
Taehyung was about to speak again but Moonbyul beat him to it. "Well well well if it isn't the great Irene who holds the second position in the beauty list. Am I seeing things or are you like really begging for a guy's attention? Oh dear look what it has come to." She told putting special emphasis on 'second'.
The other three stiffled their giggles as they looked at Irene. Irene had always disliked Moonbyul for getting the first position in the beauty list so automatically she hated the whole group. So the four would never loose a chance to mock her.
Irene was so angry you could literally see the steam coming from her ears. She scoffed "the committe is blind to give you the first position. They cannot see the obvious"
Sanduel rolled his eyes "they are not but if you are still in the second position after today then i might have to agree with your point." Irene scoffed and stormed out of the cafeteria and everyone who heard their conversation started laughing. Taehyung gave a curt nod to them and made his way towards the table next to theirs where a guy called Jimin was sitting alone.
Jimin smiled at taehyung his new roommate as he sat down next to him. Jimin then turned towards the four and said "that was amazing" smiling mischievously. The four smiled at jimin and continued their lunch. On the other side Jimin and Taehyung got to know more about each other as they had lunch. And when they got up to make their way to towards the class together they knew a new friendship had been formed between them. They just clicked off of each other easily.
Time skip~ to the end of the day.
Jin let out a long sigh as the last teacher for the day made his way out. It was the first day yet it was extremely tiring. Sanduel turned back for the thousandth time that day and said "man that was tiring. How about we go get a cup of coffee or something?"
Yoongi groaned "Do we need to...? I would rather sleep". Moonbyul snorted "all you ever do is sleep. You need to go out more" Yoongi rolled his eyes and was about to say something when Jin beat him to it "Yoongi-yah come on its just for some time". Yoongi huffed but did not argue further.
On their way to the coffee shop Moonbyul and Yoongi led the way bickering as usual while Jin and Sanduel followed. Jin glanced at Sanduel who was looking at complete ease. Jin suddenly blurted out "you don't always get jealous...." Sanduel looked at him alarmingly "what!?" Jin chuckled at his expression. "You know you feel jealous when Buylie talks to other guys including me but when she is with Yoongi you seem at complete ease."
Sanduel cleared his throat "jealous! Why would i feel jealous as if..." Jin chuckled again "whatever sails your boat Sanduel-sshi". Sanduel playfully rolled his eyes and said "what about you? You seem pretty troubled since 6th hour." Eager to change the subject.
Jin frowned remembering what happened in 6th period. It was English and their teacher not wanting to do anything on the first day decided to have a debate like she did whenever she had no intrest in teaching. Jin had always loved this and in the end he would always be announced as the one with the best views and proofs.
So as usual he was excited but what happened was completely opposite of what he thought. Taehyung who had been pretty silent the whole day stood up voluntarily talking the opposite view of Jin. They both debated until it was about to turn into an argument. Fortunately or unfortunately he couldn't decide which, their teacher stopped them telling it was time. As if this was not enough ,when the teacher announced the the one with best views and points she took Taehuyngs name.
He chuckled lightly at Sanduel shaking his head "maybe i was overwhelmed". Sanduel put his hand over his shoulder "Jinnie there is finally a match for you. Maybe it's time to get used to failing once or twice" he said.
Jin nodded but as he took his seat in the cafe with the other four he couldn't help but think that his position in college topper list was also threatned. But if he was honest with himself even he would accept that Taehuyngs points were actually very good and that he was actually handsome. And that was what scared him the most.
Well a bit of childish differences between taejin in the beginning 😉 We are going slow but I assure taejin confrontation coming up very soon....
