Saturday

John Watson dated many women, but none of them worked out for him. He didn't know why, or where he was doing wrong. He was an expert on giving others advice, and they actually worked on others, except for him. He always thought if he was a player, he knew he wasn't. He just wanted to have a stable relationship like everyone else. Though, he couldn't disagree with the fact that he didn't feel something to every woman he has ever dated.

Most of them didn't want another date after the first one, most of them ghosted him, most of them weren't even single. He didn't have a decent girlfriend in so long. Until he found her. He wasn't sure how this one worked, but he was happy.

London was drowning in rain. He was spending this Saturday with Emilia. Was Emilia any different than all the other women he has dated? No. She wasn't. A typical British woman. Works in an office, watches those stupid weekend wellness shows, drinks maybe a little too much tea. Even her tea choices were like any other woman, no sugar in her tea but some skimmed milk. He liked her though, she had a sense of humor and had a group of friends who were some decent mates. Emilia made him feel loved. Maybe that's why he loved to be near her so much.

Sherlock has always told him those wellness shows are just to get money out of false information when he used one of their face mask recipe, which was worth 30 pounds and ended up with a swollen face. It was a good laugh for Sherlock and Mrs. Hudson.

"John"

He didn't notice the little giggle he left out when he was thinking of that day. Emilia called out his name again, now asking what he is laughing at, and she told John to make a salad for her while she was taking a shower. John didn't mind, he was also very hungry. Not for a salad though, he wanted Mrs. Hudson's roast dinner. Sherlock absolutely hated roast dinners. He was more of a Fish and Chips type of guy.

He hasn't been to Sherlock's flat for 4 days now.

He knew he had to, he wanted to. But he couldn't take the chance of losing Emilia. It was none of Sherlock's fault. of course, it wasn't. But he knew sherlock very well. He knew Sherlock thought it's his fault. John didn't want him to feel like that.

Emilia treated him well, and actually loved him. she would always try to help john, helped him in everything. But Emilia was going through a hard time right now. He knew Emilia needed him. but he couldn't stop thinking of Sherlock.

Sherlock never answers a call or a text. it'd be pointless to call him.

A thought popped into John's mind.

Mycroft

Sunday

The next morning, Mycroft woke Sherlock up. Sherlock had this little hope in him that Mycroft brought in a case for him, but he immediately understood it was him checking up.

He knew John told him to.

He was used to Mycroft's spontaneous visits. It didn't bother him, he liked hearing about Eurus and what had been happening in Sherinford. Even though sometimes he would ignore what he is saying, he still liked the company. He waited until Mycroft mentioned John. But he didn't. So he just ignored all the stuff Mycroft was bragging about. Probably his new diet, or how he saved the British government again. He didn't want to hear about them. All he wanted was a sign of care from John.

He thought about John, he would actually answer the phone if John called him. He would even eat Mrs. Hudson's roast dinner with him.

But he didn't. John didn't call him.

He wandered around his flat after Mycroft left. Doing everything he could to get him out of this boredom. He hated feeling bored. The rain had stopped, not that it made a difference. Something caught his eye, a man.

And there it was. The symptoms. It all matched. A scared face, shaky hands, and a big doubt on whether he was gonna knock on the door of 221B or not.

A client.
