Chapter 10: Explanation and comfort.

Author: Somehow I struggles with this chapter, don't know why but I just did. Anyways, back to it.

Venti and your friends stood around Diluc, who held a very angry face towards them. He just finished an hour of scolding them, like a father.

He made them slightly creeped out by that.

But also, he was pretty scary when he's protective, especially over you.

Now it was fully silence, no one wanting to speak as Charles behind was awkwardly cleaning come glasses.

Finally calming down, Diluc took a deep breath, looking at your three friends with a blank, yet cold (Or hot) stare.

Gritting first, his pearly whites showen, a hint of anger was still their.

But not enough to make him go Bezerk again.

"Right, I want answers. What did you three bring her into, that got her hurt?" He asked, his fiery eyes coldy looking at them.

The three of theme froze, their bodies suddenly shaking with fear. No one wanted to tell the truth, because If Diluc found out what really happen, there was no escaping his wrath.

"I-I, Uh, w-we can explain-"

"I just heard about some thieves from the guards. For the record, I like your guts for trying to steal the Holy Lyre der Himmel, second I hate the fact you dragged her into this." He told them, making Venit's brows furrow.

"Even if you are fools...but we don't often get to see people like you." he finished, making Paimon grow more angry. Stomping the air, her teeth gritted.

"It wasn't us that stole it! The real thief is still out there!"

Lumine nodded beside her. "And (Y/n) got cut by a guard while we were trying to escape. It's a pretty big gash, and the guard looked to be drunk and wanted to kill for Justice." She added, making Diluc's face grow more angry.

Turning away, his fists clenched.

"Bastard..." he growel , having Venti tilt his head. "You know the guard?" Diluc soon then scoffed.

"I've always hated him, ever since I joined the Knights. His name is Benson, he was always looking for a way to kill people. But, ever since Jean became Grand master, he'd never really followed her orders.  I've always put him in his place when I was a knight, always hated me, he's that shitty of a knight." He explained.

"Then why hasn't Jean fired him?" Paimon asked, making Diluc sigh. "He's one of Jean's "Best" knights. The only head knight to lead the others, which Kaeya commands him. He doesn't like the guy either, but he can't do anything about it."

He then turned to Lumine, his eyes looking at her. "Shame you Joined the Knights, I assume (Y/n) joined too?"

Lumines eyes widened. "How did you know-"

"As the owner of this Tavern, word seems to get around. It's a shame really, so you and the bard are close friends?" Lumine shook her head.

"More like (Y/n) and Him." She responded, putting some sort of Jealousy striking his heart

"Oh? How interesting. Well...Despite only being travelers, and her being an Outsider, you three still offered your help to Mondstadt in its time of need." He explained, but soon sighed.

"The Knight's of Favonius...Inefficient from the beginning to the end. And towards the Fatui? Weak and conservative." He continued, but soon then realised he's acting more Childish than Kaeya. Sighing, he looked up at them again. "Forget it. I don't feel like talking about it" he finished.
