Levana was still sleeping soundly in my bed when I got up. I smiled at her before leaving my room.
I got dressed and went down to the dining room for breakfast...or rather the dining hall because that's how big it was, and had the absurdly long table to go with it. I had always wondered why the dining hall had to be so big.
When I got there I saw Treana, Megan, and my mom already sitting down and eating.
I walked over and sat beside Treana. She smiled at me.
"You ready for today?" She asked excitedly.
I forced a smile. "Uh, about as excited as I could be."
"Hey don't worry little sis!" Megan assured me. "You'll find out your destined career today trust me!"
My mom nodded in agreement. "However, even if it is not today, your career will be revealed to you in due time. It always has and always will."
I nodded.
________________
Us five sisters attend the Universal Grand Academy. The prestigious school in the Universal City. According to our mom(and the school records)our family, the Universal royals have been attending the school since it first opened.
Not that any of us actually cared. It was our school and we went there every day of the week.
Today however was different because today was the day when we would discover the career we were destined for. No big deal. No pressure.
The event took place in the school gymnasium. The space was filled to with bustling students and kiosks.
I sighed as I thought of how much I despised being in big crowds.
I looked over to Treana, who was my polar opposite. She looked ready to explode with excitement at the prospect of being surrounded by so many people.
"Okay okay. Now, where is the Warrior kiosk?" Treana asked.
"I dunno. You'll have to go find it." I replied.
Treana nodded and stepped forward before stopping herself.
"Hey, why don't we go together. Let's look for your career." Treana offered.
I smiled and shook my head. "Nah, you go ahead. Fulfill your destiny sis."
Treana smiled back before hugging me.
"You'll find your destiny today sis. Everyone always does. That's what Destiny promises." Treana reassured me before running off into the crowd.
I sighed. "If you say so sis."
I looked around the crowd, took a breath, and then plunged into the sea of people.
I walked around the gym but saw no kiosks or Careers that interested me.
I saw Treana at the Warriors kiosk. That year, they had taken their choosing ceremony idea from a piece of human folk lore. The Legend of the Sword in the Stone or something like that. The students would attempt to pull the sword the Warriors had laid out from the slab of Univi Metal. Several students tried with all their might to pull it out but none prevailed. That's when Treana walked up to the kiosk. She pulled the sword out with ease and the sword glowed in her hands for several moments before dying down. I smiled as she jumped up in excitement and the people around her clapped.
I sighed as I walked to the edge of the gym. That's when I saw him. A cloaked man standing in a far, shadowy corner away from everyone else.
I looked around to see if anyone else saw him, but it seemed as though no one else did. I looked back at the man curiously.
Even with the hood pulled low over his face, I had this nagging feeling that he was looking right at me. Then he confirmed my suspicions by pointing at me.
I stepped back and looked around for a second before turning back towards him. I pointed at myself. He nodded and gestured towards me, telling me to come over to him.
Nervous as heck, I made my way over to him.
"Um, hello." I spoke shakily.
The man looked up. He had a mask covering the lower half of his face so I could only see his bright green eyes.
After a few seconds of staring at each other, he spoke.
"Are you Princess Dreana?" He asked.
I nodded slowly and he nodded back.
"Good, look, I want you to come with me." He said.
"What? Why?" I demanded.
"It is in regards to your Career." He continued.
"What about it?" I asked.
"I'm here to give you an option." He replied.
"And what option is that?" I wondered.
"The option to become an exorcist."
