I ran through the streets of the Universal City. I didn't stop for anything or anyone. I ran all the way back to the Universal Palace.
When I got to the palace I ran straight to my room. I didn't stop to talk to my sisters. Nor did I stop when I ran past my mom. I ran straight through the doors of my room and into the bathroom.
I removed the scarf from around my mouth and looked at my reflection. The dark blood of the demon stained my face and hands. I sighed. This wasn't the first time I had ever lost control to my demon soul. It also wasn't the first time I had ever tasted the blood of a demon.
I sighed and stuck my tongue out to lick the blood, but I shook my head and turned on the tap. I let the water run into my hands and I washed my face and hands.
"Hey. Don't you usually like to lick the blood?" Someone asked from behind me.
I turned and saw Treana. She had a white bandage around her head.
"T." I muttered.
"Hey. It's okay. I won't judge." She said. "So, you okay?"
"Huh. I should be asking you that. You're the one who exploded." I retorted.
Treana smiled. "Don't worry. It's not my first bruise and it certainly won't be my last. I'll live. So, how about you?"
"Fine, sis. I'm fine." I replied quietly.
Treana walked over me and put her arm over my shoulder and smiled. "Okay. If you say so, then I won't push it. But, sis, I know when you're not okay."
Treana turned to walk out of my room but stopped at the door and turned back towards me. "Oh. Before I forget. Mom told me to tell you that she wants to talk to you"
When my twin was gone I groaned. Mom. Great.
-------
My mom, Queen Organa, was sitting on her throne while writing and a sheet of paper suspended in the air in the main foyer.
She wore long, flowing white robes. Her long brown hair was tied back and her beautiful crown rested on her head.
"Mom." I called to her. She turned to me. I saw her warm brown eyes look at me kindly.
"Yes, Dreana. Come here dear." She said.
I walked up to her. The paper disappeared and she rested her hands on her lap. She looked at me.
"Well?" She asked.
"Well, what?" I asked.
"Well, what happened tonight?" She asked.
"Didn't you hear about it from the Police Chief?" I replied as I turned my head away from her.
I felt her hand on my shoulder. "Well, I want to hear it from you."
I looked at her and sighed. "Well, the demon came outta nowhere and Treana tried fighting it off so everyone could escape. Then when she fell, I stepped in...and ended up losing control. Purple fire and the works."
She nodded. "Okay. So you defeated the demon and saved your classmates."
I shrugged. "Yeah. I guess."
Mom nodded. "Alright then. Thank you dear."
"Uh, is that it?" I asked.
"Oh, yes. That's all I needed to hear. You can go back to your room now." She waved and made the paper reappear.
"Oh. Well, okay." I replied uncertainly.
I was about to leave the main foyer when mom called to me again. "Make sure you go to bed soon Dreana. You have a big day tomorrow."
"Okay. Good night mom." I replied.
----------
I was walking back up to my room when a blue and brown streak sped by me. Then it turned and sped back towards me. When it slowed down and came to a halt, I saw my ten year old little sister, Cookie. She wore a blue pyjamas and her brown hair was ruffled from her constant running. Everyone always told her to tie it.
"Sis! I heard you ate a demon!" She exclaimed excitedly.
I stepped back. "What? Where the heck did you hear that?"
"Everyone is talking about it! It's all over the UNet! They're all talking about how there was this massive demon! Like 50 feet tall! It crashed the party and you beat it up and ate it!" She explained.
The UNet, or as it is formerly known, the Universe Network is basically the Universal version of Twitter or Facebook. Enough said.
"What? It wasn't that big! And Treana did damage too! I just sorta, finished it off." I replied.
Cookie shrugged. "Whatever. It must've been cool either way. Wish I was there."
Then Cookie turned and began running. I could hear her call to me. "Love ya sis!"
I shook my head and continued to walk back to my room. I passed by my 15 year old sister Megan's room. Just when I passed the door it flew open.
"Dreana!" She exclaimed. As Treana would have said, she had a serious case of bed head. Her hair was a complete rat's nest, her purple night gown was ruffled, and her large round glasses were lopsided. It was quite obvious that she had just jumped out of bed.
"Is it true that at your Last Day Party there was a huge demon and you incinerated it with your demon fire?" She demanded.
I let my jaw fall and shook my head. "No! None of that happened! Treana fought it and then I finished it! That was it!"
Megan smirked and nodded. "Okay. If that's what you wanna call it."
She turned back and walked back into her room. "Night little sis."
"Night Megan." I replied and continued walking down the hall towards my room.
I changed into a pair of dark red pyjamas and collapsed onto my bed. I sighed and closed my eyes to sleep.
About an hour later, I heard my door creak open. I felt threatened for about a millisecond before I heard small sniffles. I turned over and looked towards my door which was now ajar. In the doorway stood my youngest sister Levana. She was wearing her favourite pair of white onesies. Her brown hair was a mess and her eyes were filled with tears.
"Oh. Hey Levana. What's wrong?" I asked.
Levana rubbed her eyes. "I had another nightmare."
I sighed, then smiled and held out my arms. "Come here."
Levana smiled gratefully and ran to my bed. She jumped up and climbed onto the bed.
"What was the nightmare about this time?" I asked.
"Monsters. Lots of monsters came running out of a dark cave and started chasing me. It was really scary big sister." She explained.
"Oh. Well, why did you come here?" I wondered. "Why not go to Treana, or Megan, or mom?"
"Because I know that if the monsters come back, you'll scare them away big sister!" She replied happily.
"Really? Well, mom could do that too y'know." I retorted.
Levana shrugged. "Yeah, I know. But you're room is closer."
I smiled. "Okay. C'mon."
Levana smiled some more before burying herself underneath the folds of my covers. When I followed suit, her head popped out and she moved in closer to me.
"Good night big sister." She whispered before yawning.
I smiled and kissed her forehead. "Good night Levana."
