Background information!
Betty got pregnant with Jugheads child just after they graduated but he told her she had an affair with Veronica after her and Archie broke up before she told him she was pregnant. Betty moves to a small beach town in LA and had her daughter Juliet April Jones (what Jug used to call Betty,the month Betty and Jug got together and her fathers last name). After Betty left Jughead and Veronica had a child James Andrew Jones. 17 years later Betty moved back to riverdale to get an amazing job at the register with her mom. Both James and Juliet went to riverdale high but neither of them thought anything about their last names and just made a joke about when they got married she wouldn't have to change her name. They have been dating for 7 months and finally decided it was time their parents meet pops at 7. By the way Veronica is in New York visiting her family.

At pops-Bettys POV
Yesterday Juliet told me that she had been dating this kid James from her school,I was happy she had found a person she was finally happy with. She explained how nice he was and how he treated her. She asked me if we could meet him and his dad at pops today at 7pm. It made me feel kind of nostalgic going back there because the last time I was there Jughead broke my heart and left me alone and pregnant. But I still said I would go for Juliet.

We got out the car and on the way up to the door I took a deep breath and went in and then I saw him. His grey iconic brown beanie,his wispy black hair laughing with who I think was his son. I stopped and Juliet said "come on!"while dragging me by the arm. My worst fear was coming true I had to face Jughead Jones and tell the truth before anything else happened but I couldn't I had to act normal.

I got there and he stood up he looked into my eyes and I looked back at him. I felt like we were there for forever. Eventually I said "hi I'm Betty Cooper","Jughead Jones" he did shaking my hand. We sat down in silence which was quite awkward then eventually I spoke up and "so what's do you do". "I'm a writer" he explained. "Anything I would of heard of?" I questioned. "Probably it's the backster brothers" I looked at him shocked and said "ahh yes I have read most of them". "What do you do?"Jug questioned. "Urm I work at the register with my mom","Alice Cooper right?","yes" I said.

Finally Juliet and James brought over milkshakes and burgers for all of us. All I could think was about Jugheads and me and what if James and Juliet were actually in a serious relationship,uhhh what have I done? I thought to myself. Juliet stayed laughing at whatever James said and I smiled at them as Jughead adjusted just beanie which I can't believe he still wears. James looked at us as we made eye contact and my mouth fell open as I was thinking and said "what wrong?" Jughead and me both zoned out and Juliet stared repeating "mom?" Over and over. I snapped out of it and said "yeah are you okay hunny". She said "yeah are you" I just hummed. "So who's your mother James?" I said. He said "Veronica Lodge". I looked at Jughead and tears pricked my eyes. James looked at his dad at me and then back at his dad and Juliet just looked confused as a tear rolled down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away and Jug broke the confused silence and said "Betts I'm so sorry" and touched my hand. I was bawling by now. I stood up and yelled at him "you fucking married my best friend, I knew it as soon as you broke you broke up with me she was always with you and now I know why you were together after 4 years". "Betts can we talk in private" he said quietly. "You know what no you've had 17 years I've never had a text or anything. You joined backster brothers after their tried to kill you and so many others. Oh and news flash the reason I came out pops all those years ago was to tell you I was pregnant with your baby,Juliet" I said angrily and sat down. Jug sat down to by now The whole diner was back to their normal conversations.

James looked at me and said "wait she's my half sister and we are blood related." I nodded. "Ewww" Juliet said pulling a disgusted face. Jughead looked up and said "why didn't you tell me". I just shrugged. And now we are here"he exclaimed. "You want a full explanation here it is",I started. "After graduation you said we would move in together,go to college, get married and start a family. I was so excited when I found I was pregnant. I told you to meet me right here in this booth. You told me all about Veronica and she was my only other friend after Archie went to prison for all the things he did. And you two were sleeping together. I was crushed and move away I got a small job and raised Juliet on my own. You can probity guess why I called her that now. I only came back here because I wanted a better job and I didn't want to get involved with all this crime,black hood,stonewall prep things again and I hoped but now all of you would have left which it seems everyone has mostly. But now we are here and I don't know hat to say".
