All For One was a tall man.
Momo was surprised at how tall he was. He stood there watching Momo look at him in awe.
This was her hero. The person who came to save her after all of this.
Most kids had Endeavor, All Might, or someone like that. Tenya had Tensei, her friend had people like Best Jeanist or Edgeshot,
Momo had All For One.
That was her hero. She didn't even know if he was a pro. He looked like somewhat one. Scars from battle? But he literally did not have a face. What kind of battle could do that to a person? Most D rank villains didn't even have the guts to even stab a hero.
He probably wasn't a hero.
He held his hand out for her.
"I can take you with me Momo. You can finally be home." He bribed her with the idea of home. Momo was traumatized by the idea of killing her parents and burning her home down. It wasn't even an idea.
The fire did kill her parents. That's why they didn't come for her.
The idea of a home was intoxicating.
Instead of taking a time to think about it, Momo probably made the dumbest decision of her life.
She took his hand.
He helped her up and picked her up. She wasn't the lightest person, she was about 115 pounds. He looked like a strong guy, his suit looked like it would rip if he stretched or bent down. It was a slim fit.
"We're ready." He said to someone. Momo held onto him like she would hold onto her dad when she was eight years old. When she was scared of everything and new to many things. He would hold her close to him and she'd put her arms over his head, her head resting on his shoulder, similar to the way toddlers look when they're done being naughty and get sleepy.
A grey liquid surrounded the two and in a split second, the warehouse was empty. She shut her eyes and thinned her lips.
That was her first time teleporting. She had flown before, but that was because of her mother's intern, Tenshi. Tenshi was like a sister to Momo and even stayed the nights on weekends. Did Tenshi even know about her mother? She probably did since she goes to UA everyday and someone would have to tell her about it.
She probably wouldn't believe them though. Hearing that her parents had died. She was always a bit stubborn. Her parents had to be dead though. That's why they hadn't come for her. Or any heroes at that. That's why All For One came for her.
"Open your eyes now." He said. Momo opened her eyes and realized she was in a tall skyscraper. She only knew that because the glass surrounding the walls were high above a few other buildings. It wasn't that tall and blended in though. "Do you like it?" He asked. Momo couldn't answer just yet. She had to look around first. She was always a bit picky about where she stayed, it was a habit she was very unhappy about.
She wandered around and saw many photos. A few had pictures of a woman with dark green hair. She was tall and slender with round eyes. She was very obviously pregnant though.
"Who's this?"
"A friend of mine."
"She's very pretty."
"That's very nice of you to say." He said. "Let me lead you to wear you'll be staying." He obviously looked happy, but he had no face to show it. She walked with him to a very colorful room. It automatically alarmed her. "You look scared. What's wrong?" He asked, his implied happy face becoming a neutral one.
"Sorry, it's just weird that this is already ready for me."
"Would you believe me if I said I used to have a child?" He asked. She shook her head. "Well then, I guess you'll just have to believe me." He said.
"Ok..." any normal person would bring her to the police so everyone knew that she was still alive. Momo was already rethinking her decision to go with him.
Too late now she supposed...
She sat down in a chair and was quiet for a moment. Everything was silent for just a moment as she rethought her decision, beginning to think he wasn't the most sane person.
"How did you get stuck with them?" He asked. He was hovering above her, just smiling. She was intimidated the same way she was intimidated whenever her mother would glare at her for breaking something.
"I got knocked out and woke up somewhere."
"That's all you can remember? I suppose it was a long time ago, but that's truly it? I think you're skipping many important details." He said. He was glaring down at her despite having no eyes, it was like having dolls stare at you.
"A fire started and I got knocked out. And then I woke up in a warehouse and got moved around for months."
"I think you're still lying."
"I'm sorry sir, I don't think I am."
"You're still in denial? It's been so long. Five months and no one came to save you? You started that fire. You killed your mother and father."
Momo looked back up at him. Her mouth was opened, lip quivering as she looked at him. Her eyes were glassy and wide.
"You seem shocked. Doesn't this push your point that heroes don't care about villains?"
She was a villain now?
"The minute they found out you were responsible, they stopped caring about you. The only reason they'd actually want you is to arrest you for what you did. Accident or not."
She could feel her chest tighten. It was hard to breathe. Her heart was pounding fast. That was probably why he didn't bring her to a foster home or something like that. She was a fugitive...
"Why cry? Embrace the fact that you were right. Heroes are nothing but celebrities that can harm people."
She was right, but she didn't know if she should be happy or ashamed that her mother was a part of that society. Or shocked that he knew about her feelings of hero society.
"How'd you know that?" She asked, accidentally leaving out the "that".
"I know everything."
Such a dad response. August and Murielle would say it a lot.
Momo just nodded and sat there. She felt sick.
No one cared about her, and she didn't blame them. She did kill her parents, but to not look for her at all? Not even to arrest her?
Heroes didn't care.
The only person that cared was All For One.
She was grateful for what he did for her.
"Thank you."
