(THAT CHAPTER NAME THO-)
August 22nd
When Momo was picked up from school, she had no homework so she was free to do whatever. She and her mother had an arrangement that on weekends and Friday she didn't have to practice. As Momo walked through the house, she picked up her kitten Abalee.
(I forgot who Abalee belonged to and who Coco belonged to. So I'm gonna say Abalee is Momo's.)
Abalee was a small black cat with white patches all over her body. She wore a pink collar with a silver bell just because Momo liked it. She was the more chill cat, the one that wouldn't attack Dogatello, their corgi. Dogatello would fight Coco in all honesty, like, he already does it.
Anyways, Abalee didn't mind being held, she didn't like the position though. She mainly liked being held like a baby getting burped instead of this... bridal carry?
Her mother and father were in his study arguing each other as she passed by. They didn't arguing too often but when they did, Momo knew not to interrupt.
"Miss Yaoyorozu?"
A butler? This side of the house wasn't very common for the staff. And the butler didn't look familiar.
"Oh, um, yes?" Momo grinned, trying to make her best impression. She didn't want to appear snobby and rude because that was the first thought most people had when they saw her.
"You shouldn't be over here right now." He was acting weird. Not to mention, she never saw him. Abalee started hissing as if she were feral. She was really friendly despite being a cat who gave Momo many scars all over her body.
"Actually, this is one of the walkways I use more frequently than any of the staff." Momo laughed a bit. "Are you new?" She asked. The man was quite young in comparison to the staff who looked about forty, not that Momo would ever ask such a question.
"D-Dammit, I get the layout of this place wrong!" He cursed, laughing at himself. "Where's the kitchen area?" He asked.
"Oh you're very far from that!" She looked up at him. "I'll walk you there!" She smiled. He had grey hair and purple eyes, he was really tall. He looked a bit shaggy though.
The kitchen area was near the back door. The backyard was extremely large, multiple acres of land. Momo used it a lot. Mainly for Horseback riding, running around with Dogatello, who happened to be insanely quick despite having tiny legs, or doing things like swimming. Their pool was quite large and a good source of exercise.
When she got the newer staff member to the kitchen area, she stared at him for a second. She was waiting for a thank you. It sounds rude but she was used to it. The man just looked at her.
"You're a very pretty young lady." He complimented her. Momo didn't know how to take it. Was he being nice or flirting? She was twelve, what the hell was going on?
"Oh um... thank you?" She said, quite uncomfortable. She didn't know what to feel about the compliment. Instead of taking it wrong, she decided to take it as a compliment. "Um... I'll be going now..." Momo said, gently nodding her head. Abalee didn't stop hissing and Coco, who happened to be in the room, started running up to Momo. Momo thought it was odd, especially because Coco was very nice and Abalee was really playful.
Momo didn't know exactly what to do. Tenya's soccer game was only a day away from then. She was honestly very excited to attend. She just wanted to see Tensei and Tenya. She just had to wait a few more hours and then she'd be able to go. Momo was so excited.

Murielle and August stormed out of his study. Well, Murielle stormed out, August followed her.
