I Don't Want to Leave

                                                          Jane's POV

It's been almost two months since everything happened.  The Doctor and I had a very small wedding Earth style.  And by small I only mean Torchwood, Martha, and Mickey.  Since then the Doctor has been telling me I had to get ready to go to his ninth regeneration.  In the mean time I though I would start some defense training since I don't know what to expect exactly.   And that brings us to now.  The TARDIS training room has simulations of some of the best masters in its archive.  "OW!" I yell falling on my butt again.  "Would you like to end the simulation?"  "No.  Again."  "Simulation begins in 3, 2, 1."  To be honest this has been really good for me having to deal with the changes I've been going though having the Time Vortex inside me.  I found out I can't age, that I can heal myself for minor things, and that I'm part Time Lord.  Oh and I can slow down time, create shields, stop objects.  I finish the simulation and hear clapping behind me.  "You are getting very good at this," The Doctor says.  "Thanks."  I walk over to the Doctor giving him a peck on the lips.  I start to walk away but he pulls me back for one more kiss.  "I am hot, sweaty and gross.  I need to shower," I say pulling away.  "Now good bye."

After I finish up I walk to the center console and notice somethings wrong.  Usually the Doctor comes over smiling and takes my hand.  But not today.  I just watch him flipping random switches.  "Hey you ok?" I ask putting a hand on his shoulder.  "Jane..." he says turning.  "What?"  He looks at the the captain's chair and I see a backpack and a teleport watch next to it.  My eyes go wide and I can feel my eyes water.  "No.  I-I don't want to go.  Not yet."  "Jane..."  "No.  It's too soon."  "Hey look at me."  He lifts my chin so our eyes meet.  "You know you have to go."  And I did.  A few days ago he shared all of his memories with me.  "I'm going to miss you."  "I'm going to miss you to."  "You won't even know who I am."  "I know.  But I will always fall in love with you."  "I know."  I kiss him and he pulls away asking, "Can I have this dance?"  The TARDIS starts to play "Thinking Out Loud" 

I nod and he holds me close.  "Thank you."  "For what?"  "For always being there for me."  "You're welcome."  He laughs.  "I love you."  'I love you too."  He leans down and kisses me and it starts to get deeper.  A beeping noise goes off and he pulls away.  "Time to go."  He hands me that backpack and puts the teleport on my wrist.  "Good bye Mr.Smith." "Good by Jane Smith." he says with a chuckle.  There's a flash of light and I feel like I'm being pulled through a tube.  I then feel the ground and wobble a bit.  "Who are you?  And how did you get into my TARDIS?" I hear someone with a Northern accent ask.  I shake my head and look around.  And I stop at a man wearing a leather jacket.  "Doctor?"  "Yes, and you are?"  "Oh yeah, I'm Jane Smith.  Future companion."  "Ok, still doesn't explain why you're here."  "Wow, you are  rude."  He crosses his arms starting to get annoyed.  "You sent me here."    "Why?"  I hate lying but I have to.  "I don't know.  But like I said you sent me."  The TARDIS starts to hum when I touch the console.  "Why's she doing that?"  "Because she likes me," I saying winking.  "So why did I send you back here?"  "Long story short.  I was traveling with you for a year and you sent me back because this is when you first met me."  "Ok."  "Ok what?"  "You can stay.  I don't want to mess up the timeline." "Good cause either way you're stuck with me," I saw with a smirk.  He looks at me trying to figure everything out.  This should be a fun adventure.
