I sighed as I walked walked into the butterfly estate, looking for shinobu. But she was nowhere to be found.

Damn it.

I peaked around the corner to see Tanjiro talking to a golden haired boy and someone with a boar mask. "Demon boy?" I asked as I walked into the room as they turned and looked at me.

"Wahhhh a beautiful lady! Tanjiro! How are you friends with so many girlsss?" The golden haired boy cried as he came towards me. "Hey pretty lady! I'm zenitsu! Let's get married!" He shouted as I smiled and lightly pushed him away. Tanjiro looked at me for a while before his eyes widened.

"A-ah! Y/n-San!" He stuttered out. "Hey demon boy. What are you doing?" It had been a while since I've seen them.

"Oh rehabilitation training." He answered as the boar head looked at me.
...
I think.

"Hey you! (Wrong name) was it?! Fight me!" He shouted. "I-I don't think you want that inosuke... she's the strongest hashira..." I tilted my head to the side. Oh? How'd he know? Did shinobu tell him?

"MORE REASON TO FIGHT! FIGHT ME (WRONG NAME)!" I glared at him before looking back at Tanjiro. "Hey Tanjiro. You have a good nose right?" I asked as he nodded. "Good. Come with me. I need you to sniff something." I said and turned away as Tanjiro grabbed the golden boy and the boar head guy and threw them back onto their bed and came after me.

"Y/n-San? What did you need?" He asked as I brought out a Brice of fabric. "Here. Sniff this." I told him as he looked at me confused. I sighed. "Smell it."

I gave Tanjiro the price of fabric as he brought it to his nose.

"Demon..." my eyes widened. "Which one?!" I asked and grabbed his shoulder. "I... I don't know it smells a bit like muzan..." He said as I let go of his shoulder and looked down. "I see... thank you." And here I thought I got a lead...

"Wait!" I heard Tanjiro say behind me as I stopped.

"Why... why do you also smell like a demon?"

I looked at him and sighed. "That's none of your business is it?" I growled as he stepped back.

"I know but..." he paused. Damn it. "Follow me." I said and walked towards my estate as Tanjiro followed behind me.

I sat down on a chair as Tanjiro set his sword down and sat in front of me. "Alright then. What do you want to know."

"Why... why do you smell like a demon?" He asked.

"Your family was killed by muzan yes?" I asked as he nodded. "Well mine too.  Me and my family lived in a forest. That day my little sister was sick. So I went to town to get some medicine. I didn't have enough money on me, so I had to around asking to borrow some. By the time I got enough, it was already around noon." I said as Tanjiro relaxed slightly.

"I managed to get the medicine and I headed home. But because my house was a pretty far away from town, it took me a while. So when I got home..." I paused.

"They were dead weren't they..." Tanjiro said as I nodded. "You got lucky." I said a I looked at him.

That was a lie.

"At least your sister survived and was turned... my family wasn't that lucky." I said looking at Tanjiro. He looked pretty sad.

That's not true at all.

"After that I buried them and I decided to travel a bit to another town. And so I did. And that's here I met the person who trained me." I paused. "He's also dead."

"Anyways. Enough about that. After that I keep running into demon moons I never killed a upper moon though just a few lowers. I meet the moons quite often and sometimes I interact with them. So I always got a demon smell on me I guess." I said as Tanjiro nodded. A crow flew in through the nearby window. That was such a stupid lie. couldn't i have thought of anything better?!

"Y/n l/n the master have requested your presence for a mission!" My crow said as I stood up. "I'll see you later Tanjiro."

"Wait! One more question!" He yelled and I turned and looked at him.
"Why... did you glare at me? You know during the trial. And along with Tomioka-San?"

"I'm not letting anyone I care about get hurt again. Even if one of the people I care about hurt another I care about..." I paused.

"I'll kill them. Better one gone then all."
