" Put some clothes on Draco," I said, covering my eyes
"Jesus Lily, I am," He said, chuckling
" Malfoy, put a shirt on now," My father called from the lawn
" Ok, Snape," Draco called back
"That's professor Snape Malfoy" Father called
" Sorry, professor!" Draco said as he walked away from the door
" Bye, Father, see you in school," I called, picking up my luggage and walked inside
" Very funny, Lily," He said and vanished into thin air
I rolled my eyes and closed the door, " Do you often answer the door without clothes, Draco?" I called, looking around for him.
" Now I do ever since Potter got rid of my elf," Draco said, annoyed as he walked down the stairs now with a white shirt on.
" Draco, you treated him horribly; I'm glad he's free," I said as Draco started to walk towards me.
" Well, who cares what you think, Lily," Draco said as he inched closer to my face.
My breathing slowed down as he got closer; his icy grey eyes were piercing right into mine. We stood there looking at each other for what felt forever when suddenly I heard a voice.
" Draco darling, who was at the door?" A woman's voice called from the kitchen
Draco quickly dropped his gaze and went to reply
" Just Lily, mother, she brought her luggage, so it looks like she's staying," He said smiling.
My cheeks turned bright red, and I looked down. Did Draco smile at me? I thought, Did I like it? Did this mean something? It couldn't mean anything, I liked Harry, and he liked me, well at least I hope he did. My crazy thoughts were interrupted suddenly when Mrs. Malfoy came over to hug me.
" Oh Lily, I haven't seen you in ages! You look just like your father," She said, beaming.
" Mother, don't compare Lily to a man," Draco said, smirking.
" Oh! I didn't mean it like that at all, Lily," Mrs. Malfoy said as her face dropped.
" No, no, it's fine, I knew you didn't, Mrs. Malfoy, lot's of people say I look like my dad," I said, glaring at Draco.
" Mother, leave us alone and go take Lily's bags up to a room," He said coldly.
" Oh yes, of course," She said and bent down to grab my bags.
"Mrs. Malfoy, It's perfectly alright. I can get my things, and I'm sure Draco can show me a room," I said warmly.
" Well, alright, I'll see you for dinner, I hope," She said smiling.
" Leave, Mother," Draco said as he picked up my luggage.
" Oh yes, of course," Mrs. Malfoy said as she walked back to the kitchen.
As we went up the stairs, I hit Draco. " I can't believe the way you speak to your mother! It's horrible," I said angrily.
Draco suddenly stopped and turned to look at me" I can talk to my mother anyway I want, you prick. You know what, you can choose any bloody room you want, just not mine." He said harshly and began to walk again. Draco then whipped around, "And pick up your own luggage," He said as he dropped my bag and walked to his room.
I stood and watched as my things fell down the stairs; and winced when I heard the loud bang telling me they had reached the floor.
Mrs. Malfoy ran out of the kitchen, " Is everything ok?
" Yes, sorry for the noise, Draco's just acting like a CHILD!" I yelled loud enough for him to hear.
" Oh Draco, of course," Mrs. Malfoy said as she grabbed my bag and began to drag it up the stairs.
" Wait, I'm coming," I said and ran down to grab the bag from Mrs. Malfoy.
When I reached her, I took the luggage from her, and we walked up the stairs in silence.
" I am sorry he's acting so badly, Lily," She said sadly.
I said nothing as I followed her to a room.
" He's just so unhappy right now, and I don't understand why. He has everything he could ever want," She said as tears started to form in her eyes.
When we reached the room, she laid my luggage on the floor and sat on the nicely made bed.
" I'm a terrible mother," She said, now starting to cry.
" No, you aren't Mrs. Malfoy, your one of the kindest people I know," I said, sitting on the bed next to her.
" Who cares about being kind? I don't have any control of my child Lily" She said as she put her head in her hands.
I looked down on the floor, not knowing what to say.
She lifted her head and looked at me " I should have protected him."
" What do you mean? Draco's in the safest school possible, h-" I started to say but was abruptly interrupted by Mrs. Malfoy
" No, from Lucius, I should have protected him from Lucius," She said, tears still flowing down her face.
I stayed silent; I agreed with her.
