Chapter 17

He picked up his phone and dialed someone on his contact lists. He turned on the speaker phone so that everyone could hear the conversation.

Calling...

Jin waited for the other line to pick up his call. A few seconds after, it was being picked up.

Jin: Hello, Nana? Can you please connect me to the office that's crediting all the companies here in Hongkong?

The lady on the other line quickly responded to his request.

Nana: Of course. Give me a sec...

...

Nana: Okay! You're in..

Call connected..

A man on the other line greeted Jin.

Man: Good day Mr. Kim, how may I help you?

Jin: I would like you to do something for me.

Man: Anything for you, Mr. Kim. What is it?

Jin: I would like to request for the termination of Chen Construction immediately and instead change it into the name of "ARMY Co." . Merge the company to Fabier's. Transfer all of Mr. Chen's shares and stocks under my name. Make sure to remove all of Mr. Chen's and his family's rights on the company. Compensate him if possible. But never allow him to do any business-related activity in the future.

Man: Is that all, Mr. Kim?

Jin: That would be all for now. Thank you, Mr. Valdez.

Man: It's my pleasure, sir.

Call connected ended...

Jin: Thank you for the help, Nana.

Nana: Anytime, Jin..

Call ended..

After the call has been disconnected, Jin leaned his back on the couch but his posture is still in tact.

The board members of Chen Construction were all still in shock and even more terrified. Mr. Chen on the other hand was left out of words. He started to feel regret with everything he said and done. He wanted to beg but he could not even move his body. They are not voluntarily cooperating with his mind.

They thought that Jin is finished, but he is still not.

Jin talked to the board members on the other line... "If anyone of you is not in favor of merging the company to Fabier's, please raise your hand. I will not stop you. I will have all of your stocks and shares put on sale, and you will be compensated accordingly. But, if you wished to stay, then I will let you.." He announced.

They waited for quite a while for some responses, but no single person on the conference room raised their hands and opposed to Jin's plan.

Jin: "So, I guess the decision has been made. Thank you everyone for your cooperation. Have a nice day."

As the live stream had ended, so as the call. Kai did her part. RM hugged her tightly and complimented her for a job well done.

"Any words, Mr. Chen?" Alice asked the old man.

Mr. Chen lowered his head out of frustration, guilt and regret.

Mr. Chen: "I'm so sorry. I should have listened to you earlier. Now everything is gone."

Alice fiercely commented : "It was your call, Mr. Chen. Don't take it personally, but we're only doing business here.. and your business with us is finish. Now if you'll excuse us, we still have to discuss some business with Mr. Fabier and Calista.. You know the way out, right?"

Alice is also one hell of a woman. That is why she is one of the fiercest business woman in the business industry. She never lost in business.

Mr. Chen was left with no choice. He stood up from his seat and grabbed his belongings. Before he left, he asked for an apology to Cali and Mr. Fabier, most especially in behalf of what Bryan did to Cali. And with that, he was being escorted by the mansion's butler out of the mansion's premises.

When they were all left by themselves in the room with Mr. Fabier, Cali, Bangtan, and the other three ladies; they all released a heavy breathe in chorus, as if they were all got exhausted from a heavy activity.

Cal and her dad is still terrified. Others had noticed it too.

Yoonah apologizes: "We are very sorry for the inconvenience, Mr. Fabier. I hope we didn't scared you that much."

Mr. Fabier: "O-oh n-not a-at a-all. I..I just didn't know that Cali is friends with all of you."

"I think you should tell the old man the truth, Yoongi-hyung." Hobi said facing Yoongi.

Yoongi: "Not now, Hobi. We'll plan it later."

Hobi nodded as his answer.

Alice asked Mr. Fabier: "You heard what Jin-oppa said earlier about the merging of the company, right? What can you say about it, sir?"

Mr. Fabier replied: "Please call me, Uncle Franco. You are Cal's friends and Yoongi here is my soon to be son-in-law, so there is no need to be so formal. And please, you are all welcome here in our house anytime you plan to visit.. Well regarding that matter, honestly I am still terrified and flustered, but I am very grateful with all of your help, especially yours, Jin. I didn't know that you are the son of Mr. Kim.. But nevertheless, I am really thankful for helping me and Cal. I really thought that I will be loosing the company. Cal's mom has lots of memories there, and I don't want to put it into waste. Thank you so much." He sincerely said.

"It's okay, Uncle. Like what we said to Cal, a friend's friend is our friend too, and like what you said, Cal will soon to be part of our family, too.. We will not let her fight her own battle. After all, what friends are for, right?" Jin smiled at him and to Cali.

Cali commented: "Seriously guys, I..I really didn't know how to thank you for what you did.. I..I mean, you just didn't help me, but dad and our company as well.. I will always consider this a huge debt to all of you."

RM: "You don't owe us anything, Cal. We did it all with our own free will.. and you are one of us now. Right?"

Mr. Fabier: "Right! Well.. I didn't expected that proposal, young man.. I hope you are really serious with my daughter. You see, Calista is my only daughter, and she is my everything."

"I will give you my word, sir. I will never hurt your daughter." Yoongi assured him.

Everyone is once again taken aback by Yoongi's statement. They thought that he is really serious with Cali.

Mr. Fabier announced: "Well then, I guess we have to prepare for your engagement party.."
