"Nope."

"Come on, I didn't even say anything yet." Bethany rolled her eyes as Chaser ran after her.

"I already know my answer is a no," she said with a smile. He rolled his eyes.

"I wasn't even gonna ask you out, dude." Her eyebrows raised as she headed up the stairs to the front entrance.

"And I'm supposed to believe that?" He chuckled and ran ahead to grab the door for her. "Thanks."

"I learned your," he paused for emphasis, "favourite verse from your favourite song!"

"Right, and what might that be?" He cleared his throat. "Oh my god."

"Shall I begin?" She shook her head.

"Absolutely not."

Chaser began to sing and she laughed out loud, fumbling with her lock combination. He stopped. "What happened?"

"Who told you this was my favourite song?" He thought for a second.

"Aren't you best friends with Sydney?" Bethany smiled.

"I fucking hate that song." He stood for a moment. "Give up already, Chase."

"Fuck no, I'm gooing to get you to date me."

"No you're not." Chaser gave her a smirk. Bethany rolled her eyes, straps of her bag over her shoulders.

"Get to class?"

"I'll walk you," he said. She sighed.

"Calculus," she said. He hummed and followed her down the halls. "What do you have now?"

"PE," he said with a yawn. "So what is your favourite song?"

"My favourite?" He nodded. "I don't have an absolute favourite but my favorite band's Why Don't We."

"So I should learn something by Why Don't We." she rolled her eyes.

"I'm not going to date you, Chaser."

"Every girl dates me," he said with a smirk.

"And that's exactly why." It was his turn to roll his eyes as he headed down the hallway, leaving her in class.

"You're going to date me, babygirl, I'll get you to."

"Have fun trying!"

---

"Oh my god," she sighed, heading down the hall. He joined her side and grinned.

"How was class?"

"Great- you weren't there." He chuckled and she smiled, rolling her eyes.

"Class was boring as hell for me, thanks for asking." She headed for her locker and he followed her there, of course.

"Why was it boring?" He leaned against the locker next to hers.

"Because you weren't there." He winked and she groaned.

"Don't you ever just give up?" He shook his head. "Take a hint, Chaser-- I don't want you."

"But I want you."

"And you don't get everything you want, believe it or not." He crossed his arms over his chest as he waited for her to finish up.

"Where are we headed next?"

"Chaser!" He smiled and they began to walk. "I'm pretty sure this is like borderline harassment."
