Jihyo was very speechless at this point. Normally, others would have felt that they didn't notice them, however, Chaeyoung thought otherwise. Chaeyoung knew it was her fault for not approaching the girl at an earlier stage. The only thing Chaeyoung can do now is to regret  and do what she can for now. 

None of them said a word next to each other but Chaeyoung just laid her head back to Jihyo's shoulder again. It was getting kind of awkward so Chaeyoung said, "used to love you in a romantic way but that's okay. You have Sana and you're happy now right?" but Jihyo still didn't say anything. 

"hey, no point feeling guilty. It's my fault to not being able to approach you first plus it would also be called stalking, if you were to think about it" Chaeyoung tried to convinced that Jihyo wasn't at fault here. 

"so to say, you know everything. You were the closest to me and i didn't realise" Jihyo sighed.

"like i said, it's not your fault. Not yours, not Sana's, not mine. We all make mistakes and sometimes, we allow our emotions to control us. It's just what humans do, it's how we are" Chaeyoung said as she hugged Jihyo.

"and i won't say i know everything. I know what happens but why he did it, i still don't know" Chaeyoung shrugged.

"he didn't accept it because of history" Jihyo said.

"and then you started to hate her, but why feel so guilty about it?"

"she didn't do anything. I've said words to have hurt her, done things to her, accused her-"

"but Sana wouldn't-"

"i was a bully, chae. I bullied her before everything" Jihyo started to breakdown.

"I know, I know, Jihyo but the world brought you two together for a reason. I don't know what but-"

"but what if she only remembers the bad parts? She would have-"

"then it's her choice to make. To believe you or to resent you. Whatever she chooses, whatever happens, i know you'll stay strong like how you have always been doing" Chaeyoung rubbed her back. 

"chae, i'm sorry for everything, for not-"

"Jihyo, stop!" Chaeyoung made Jihyo face her, "stop saying sorry. I love you and all i ever want is for you to survive and be happy "

"didn't you ever though of what if-"

"i did, jihyo. What if i had confessed to you, i would probably be kissing you as much as what, holding you tight, telling you everything about you but either way, look at us now. We're friends now and i'm here holding onto you, not as your girlfriend but as your friend that will forever stay. You can be all strong with the others but with me, please don't. Let me see those tears and comfort you" Jihyo couldn't hold back her tears as she just laid her body on Chaeyoung's.

Not long later, Jihyo fell asleep in Chaeyoung's arms. 

"how is she?"

"she's doing fine" Chaeyoung smiled.

"thanks, Chae" Chanyeol squatted down and patted chae's back.

"anything for my first love" Chaeyoung moved her attention to Jihyo and stroked her hair. 

"you still love her, huh?"

"always but hey, i found someone else but i won't get my hopes up"

"Chaeyoung never changes"

"neither do you" Chaeyoung rolled her eyes, "where's oppa?"

"he's still at home, keeping dad updated. It's nice to know Jihyo has someone to rent to" Chanyeol sighed in relief.
