Red Flame

Chapter 13

            "Gabbie, Gabbie fight her, come one," Hades said. Loki enters the cell. I hated him. No I didn't, red flame did. She wanted him dead. But Loki told the others to leave him. A spark in him, I seen that, in me. He cared about me. I could see it in him.

            "Can you change your clothes, do you remember what you wore at the dance, can you change into that for me, Ella," He said. SHE was breaking through me. I was weaker because of his caring voice. She fought me, doing as he asked. She snaps our fingers and changes. She got through. He knew she was in here. He nods to Annabeth, the song played again. NO NO!! He grabs us, she was getting control again. This was bad. He takes the cuffs off. He then snaps his fingers; Annabeth and I are taken with him to the room we were in at the party.

            "Just dance with me," He said as she started the song over. He grabs my hand and puts the other on my waist again. I couldn't stop it, she was to strong. This was going to end badly. But while he was waltzing he twirled her into him, and she looked into his eyes, She then used her strength to break through. I came back. He pulled me back. I was here, with Loki, and I knew I loved him. But I didn't know how he felt. We waltzed, and he takes his hand and places on my face. This was new, he wasn't being the Loki I knew, He was somehow, changed. Did seeing me as the red flame do that?

            He continues to dance with me, just dancing, nothing more and in this moment, I couldn't ask for anything more. He turned away from him and held on to me and the song ended. I breathed, crying. I was crying, I had been stuck like that for weeks, wanting out. And I was free, thanks to Loki, the one who sent me there to begin with. He saved me from her. He turns me to face him, my eyes no longer red but brown again. He grinned.

            "Welcome back Ella," he said. I smiled. I knew he was being genuine. Annabeth had been watching. Loki looked at her to thank her and she crossed her arms. He looked at me. His face was soft but hurt. I could see it in him, something was bothering him. That much I would tell.

            "Gabrielle, I owe you an apology, the night you sang, I should have come to you, instead I coward before everyone, including myself, I was just afraid," He said. I grinned..

            "Why, what did you have to be afraid of," I asked him, he takes me hands in his. There was that spark.

            "I coward because, I felt something, and I have never felt it before, It runs in my veins, When I see you, I get weak, I start feeling very strange, I want to protect you and at the same time, I want to go hand in hand combat with you," He stopped. He looked at Annabeth and back to me. He swallowed what pride he had.

            "I care for you, Gabrielle, more than I should, but I do, and my feelings are very attached to you, Yes, I have feelings I choose to hide them," He laughed. In all seriousness, He had feelings for me.

            "So, if you want me to continue training and being there for you, I will do so, and if not, I will stand down, and take it like a god," He said. I laughed. That was funny. He looked at me confused.

            "When I seen Anna and Thor together and Percy with Annabeth, I flipped the switch, you told me you would never feel that for me, that you couldn't, I wanted what they had, and I hurt so much, but you saved me from myself, or from her," I said. He nods.

            "Of course, I want you to train me, and be there with and for me, all the time," I said. He grins. That made him happy. He places a hand over his heart and grins again.

            "That makes my heart very happy," He said. Annabeth continued to watch. So, I did the unthinkable. I hugged him; I wrapped my arms around his torso. He put his on my back, he was hugging me. The God I admired, and now loved, was hugging me. This was something I wanted to remember. But Annabeth had me covered. She used her iPod to take a picture of us.
