Chapter 8

Today was Loki day. In other words, I was training with Loki today. I was excited, but nervous. I could hurt him again. And I didn't want to do that. I wanted to make sure he had no reason to stop my training. When I walked into the arena where he stood, I began to feel the nerves in me sizzle. Ever since he agreed to do this, I've been excited but now, I was nervous, me.  He spotted me, and he quickly grabbed his book. Whatever book he was reading from. He knew sorcery well. I was just so scared. What if I hurt him again?

"She made it, and just in time, first lesson, always be confident," He said. Oh great he smelled my fear.

"I'm fine," I said. He snickered; his side smile plastered on his face. And for some reason that didn't bother me anymore.

"Lies, I can see it," He said getting close to me. Was he antagonizing me? I think he was.

"Well, in that case, yes, I am nervous, I don't want to hurt you again," I said honestly. He nods.

"And I  do not want to be hurt by you again, but I'm confident that will not happen, so, be confident," He says. I stand up straight. My leather hugging my body. It was tight and it felt like it was ready to move, or do something.

"Second lesson, Always know your opponent, sense them, sniff them out," He said. He came closer and closer.

"for instance, I know you dear hurting me or anyone else here, I can use that against you, Sorcery comes from our soul, not from our minds," He said. Know the opponent. He then shifted, changed, into me.

"We can shapeshift, All witches can, but only if we are confident, do not show fear," He said, or I said. That took me by surprise. He changed back. That was very strange.

"Okay, so I can shapeshift?"

"Perhaps, but are you confident enough to do so?"

"I know I'm powerful, I have a power no one else has, And I can take down any enemy with my power," I said. He nods.

"That's not what confidence is, in power is a new meaning, you have to believe your special, that everyone else is more special, because they have emotions, and feelings, Gods rarely have them, we know they do, so we seek that same emotion," He said. In other words, try to be sincere. Know that humans are better. I nod.

"First, make sure you have a fair amount of confidence, and then think about the person you want to be," He said. I nod.

At first I remembered Anna, her emotions, she was scared and angry, and she had so much love for me. And Then I remembered how above me she was. She was above me, but I had power, and I thought of that power. And the next thing I can think of is Loki. How he was hurt, and how I did that because of how powerful I was. I felt a spark, something in me rising. My body felt warm, and different. I opened my eyes, and I had shapeshifted into Loki! I looked just like him.

"Well, I can't say I'm surprised you chose me, I am evilly handsome, but it is very unusual looking at myself," He said. I shrugged.

"To change back, you must now put yourself above them," He said. This was all confusing. I was getting so confused. But maybe it's because thinking I'm better would take me back to myself. So I thought of how better I was, better than My sister and Annabeth, and Even Loki. I felt the shift, my body becoming cold again, different. And when I opened my eyes, I was me.  He seemed impressed. But if I could shape shift, what else could I do?

"Okay, well, we've made a lot of progress today, Next lesson is on something even more fun and mischievous," He said. Lord this should be fun. He was the god of Mischief so this should be great.

"We will be working on teleportation," He said. That did sound fun. And the training was getting better. He wasn't rude today, He was genuinely helping. Something Loki didn't do often. It was unusual but I didn't complain. I liked this side of him. He was genuine. And I loved this. Had he been this nice all those weeks ago, I would not have punched him.

"Well, I really appreciate the help, so far I have gotten more confident, so thank you," I said. He looked at me and gave me a maniacal look, yep there it was, that was Loki. Or at least the Loki I knew.

"Don't get use to me helping, I don't help, I know you need this, and I'm willing to give you my expertise because we will need you to win this battle," he said. Okay, and we are back to cold. Just shake it off.

"Alright, noted, you don't care much for me," I said turning around. He grabs my arm. I turned around he looked sorry.

"I didn't say I didn't care, I looked after you for years, I know it was my duty, but I did care or I would have left you to fend yourself, you'll remember that next time you assume I don't care," He said letting me go. I seen something in his eye I had never seen before. Emotion. Loki showed emotion! That excited me.

"Okay, yeah," I said. He stood in the arena, his forehead in his left hand. He looked like he was stressed out. Maybe he needed something to get his mind off it. Maybe have some fun. I could talk to Thor, throw a small party, maybe a small dinner for all of us, music, dancing, conversating, get all our minds off of this. So, I ran.

I ran to Thor, who was engaging my sister with a kiss. Yes, shocker. She was seventeen and he was kissing my sister. I didn't want to interrupt but I wanted to but this was important. Everyone needed a break. And I sure could use one. I was told Asgard threw great parties. Drinks, music, fancy gowns, weren't really my thing, but I would bite. I cleared my throat. My sister looked at me, as did Thor.

"I was just coming to ask if we could have a party tonight, maybe have drinks, food, music, dancing, you know just a regular party," I said. Anna looked at him. He tilted his head to the right.

"I suppose, but I will warn you, I'm a party animal," He said.

"I genuinely don't care Thor, I am only doing this because everyone is stressed and Loki needs a distraction," I said. Thor laughed, what was funny?

"Loki, party, okay, good luck Gabs, really, if you get him to come, I will give you my throne for a day," He said. That was a challenge.

"Deal," I said. He looked at me with a serious but confused look.

"If you get my brother to that party tonight, I'll let you have my throne tomorrow, all day, you give orders, if not, you don't get the throne," He said. Anna looked at me and at Thor.

"Deal, I like my seat polished," I said walking out.

I would get him to come to it. I don't care if I had to shapeshift into him for him to make an appearance, he would be there.
