Tori Goes Bad

Chapter 3

(Choir class)

Tori is up front as all the class does warm up before practicing their selected songs. Standing behind her was Ryder Daniels, her suppose partner for a project she was gonna do with him for half their grade until her friends and girlfriend told her the truth about Daniels. Ever since then, he's been finding ways to get back at her for embarrassing him and for getting an F. And he has it all planned out. During warmups, the classroom phone goes off and the teachers answers it. He then nodded his head in replying and hangs up. "Listen, guys. The principal needs me for a while so I'm gonna have to leave the room for a little while. I don't know why but it's sounds important. So please stay here until I returned." He said and walks out the door.

As soon as he left, everyone decided to go over songs individually, except for Daniels who is ready to set his revenge in motion. "Hey, Tori." He called her. She looked up. "What do you want Daniels?" She asked in a stern tone. "Just wanted to talk to you for a minute since we got time." He tells her. She rolled her eyes and puts her folder down. "What is it?" She said. "First, how are you and West doing?" He started the conversation. "We're good. Why do you care?" She replied. "Well, I was wondering. Do you sometimes wished that she could be more like you?" He asked. That puzzled Tori. "Uh...no. No, I prefer Jade the way she is. Besides, she only chooses to be nice to those she is with." Tori answered honestly. "Well, how would you feel if she wished the exact opposite?" Daniles brought up. That did bring Tori's interest. "What are you talking about?" She asked. "Well, I was thinking and wondering how would feel if you were more like Jade. Wearing all black, piercings on your face, looking pale, wearing black lipstick, acting all moody, etc." Daniels explained. "I would never do that. Plus, Jade is more like that than me. That's what makes us perfect. We're opposite but we used the phrase, opposite attracts." Tori tells him. "I don't know. Sometimes, I wonder if Jade would like it if you were more like her." He said. That then worry the future pop star. 'Does Jade wished I was more like her?" She thought as she tries to go back to rehearsing the songs

(After class)

Tori walks out at to her locker. She is then greeted by her friend, Beck. "Hey, Tori." He greeted. "Hey." She greeted. Beck notices that Tori is not in her usual happy mood. "Okay. Talk to Beck. What's troubling you?" He asked her. "Beck, can I ask you a question?" Tori asked him. "Sure." He answered. "Before I came here and you were still dating Jade, was there ever a time you wished she was more like you or do you ever wonder if she felt the same?" Tori asked the Canadian. "Not really. If Jade was like me, it would be too easy to handle her. Easy is boring." Beck answered. "You're right." Tori agreed. "Why do you ask that question, anyway?" He asked her in return. She wanted to tell the truth but did not want to cause a scene in school. "It just came to me during class." She lied. "Where is Jade, anyway?" She asked him once more. "Heading to Study Hall." He tells her. "Thanks, Beck. I owe you one for this." Tori replied and head to meet her girlfriend there.

As she was walking there, she then saw Jade talking to Andre as they were both entering the room. She didn't want to interrupt them but something they were discussing caught her ear. "Andre, why do you keep asking me if I do consider wanting Tori to change?" Jade asked her friend. "Well, it was just a thought. I mean there are couples who do wish their own partner were more like them." Andre explained. "Look, Andre. Yes, I do wish Tori was more like me at times..." Jade to explain and before she heard more, Tori just ran away from the room and into the girls' bathroom. No one was around so she started to cry from what she just heard come out of Jade's mouth.

"Jade wished I was like her? Like a goth and a bad girl?" She said to herself in the mirror. She then look at what she might look like and saw a hallucination of her bad side. She saw that she wore all black, dyed her hair black with blood red highlights at the end of it. She has on dark lipstick, dark eye shadows, nails painted black. "Whoa. I look...hot." She told herself. "Yeah, that's because you will be if you make this move, Vega." The goth Tori told her. Tori shook her head and saw her original look. "Whoa. Well, maybe I should. And I do have enough dark clothes and I do have dark makeup. Alright, Jade. Say goodbye to the old Tori and hello to your goth girlfriend." She said to herself as she left the bathroom and headed out of the school.
