Reciprocity

Reciprocity is the same air we are breathing
It's the same mornings we are into
It's the reason you're smiling bashfully
And when I asked you why, you said it's nothing
And from that day on, I decided nothing but nothingness.

Reciprocity is a reply to my good nights
That millions of thoughts and sunflowers squeezed into a word
being archived to be read late
I surrendered myself to the void
I am completely without but what you poured through me
I will be a reflection of what you've created me to become into.

Reciprocity is being interested with what I am discussing about,
being curious about what will happen next,
what color the sky is,
and what book I am reading.

Reciprocity asks me how is my day going so far
Reciprocity waits
Reciprocity walks side by side
Reciprocity imposes not
Reciprocity forgives and forgets.

Reciprocity is not perfect but fair
Reciprocity has a different haircut last time
but still possesses beauty within, and not sees validations
Thus reciprocity is without validations
It fears not as to what others might say.

Reciprocity enjoys what life has to offer
Reciprocity judges not
Reciprocity suffers as I do because I get attached to things that are never meant to last
Reciprocity supports me as I move forward but gives me a reason to stay
Reciprocity is a fine line between
"Why doesn't this person love me?" and
"Why am I attached to someone who isn't interested in me and doesn't value me at all?"

Reciprocity calls my name and bids goodbye
And is excited to see me tomorrow as I do feel the same way
Reciprocity is being thankful
Reciprocity is me and it is not my responsibility.
