Chapter 30 : All About Her

'Wakey wakey.' The familair squeaky and sweet voice went on nudging me on and on as I slept on the mattress.

Almost gnoaring, I gave up and opened my eyes. Uris knelt before me, her hair in a bonnet. It was obvious she just woke up too. I glanced up the clock on the walk  behind her and realized it was literally 7am and this girl was waking me up after I slept late after staying talking with Tabby about when we met hopefully -
Not really setting a time, more like setting the events.

'Hm, Unis why you up this early?' I yawned.

'Daddy is planning something for you, so you need to wake up now and see!' She squealed in excitement  as I furrowed my brows not sure what she was saying mostly cuz I was stil. sleepy.
'Dont tell him and Momma I told you though.' She whsipered making me giggle picking up what was up.

'Okay. I'll be out in a sec.' I assured her.

Uris nodded hastily and made her way to the door tripping over excitement as always. She was a bubbly child and I envied how she had no worries and was happy - just like I once was.
I cleared my thoughts, stretched and stood up glancing to my phone to see a good morning message from Tabby, making me blush.
I literally forced his ass to let me go to sleep last night.

He went on and on,  on how we barely got to talk this long due to the time difference and I got where he came from. Whenever he was free, I wasnt or mostly it was night here and whenever I was free he wasn't - it wasnt easy. It wasnt like a must to talk but we both missed each other and enjoyed the little time we had to talk even though we both wanted to see each other physically so bad. I promised Tabby a facetime soon, hopefully before work starts cuz I could already imagine how it would be since I would prolly more occupied.
I will have to go thru it.

Tabby and I's relationship was at a good peek and I was really happy about that. Its been long since I felt such a weight I never even knew I had, off.

'Be careful, Uris!' I peaked down the stairs to see Kim scolding Unis who was carrying a tray.

'Calm down, honey. She can handle it.' Pop's voice chcukled and I could see him helping Kim in the kitchen while Urisdropped the tray successfully.

'Yeah, right. Last time you said, she made a whole mess.' Kim scoffed.

Pops broke in a humorous laughter as they walked to the dinning table dropping the food they had in hand.

'You are the cutest.' My dad giggled and I could see him pull Kim to peck her lips.

Kim turned pink, giggling and hiding her face in his neck.

'But, Daddy! I thought I was the cutest!' Unis pouted whinning.

'You are, your mom's the second in line.' He laughed patting Uris.
'Come here.' He pulled her up and to his chest, carrying her as they all had a group hug.

'You guys are the best thing ever.' Kim trailed rubbing her daughter's back as they cuddled closely.

A cold and watery substance ran down my cheek and I quickly flinched at myself due to the sudden feeling. I hadn't realized when I teared up but here I was crying? I sniffled in trying to be quiet.

The sight made me feel uneasy and had grown a pit in my throat making my saliva hitch inside. Like a deer caught in the headlights, my eyes met with Pops. He read me that quick, and his face dropped a little and it was like he understood the whole situation and feeling I got.

It was new - in a way. Sure I always wished my family was together but never had I ever felt desirous in my life over anyone like I did now. I was hurt and jealous?
Over Uris, over Kim for my Momma even though she wasnt in my situation and for everything that made them ... them.
