Chapter 19 : All About Her

'Aight. I'll be right back.' I said making Stacy nod as she did her nails and I stepped out of the house.

I pulled my light hoody to my forehead as I walked down the neighbourhood with my kicks, looking for the pharmacy to go get some tampons and wipes I ran out of.

"Thanks." I smiled paying the cash and picking my items from the nylon bag and making my way out.

Instead of heading straight back home I decided to walk a little, so I would chill and clear my mind over everything since we were really leaving New York tomorrow evening . Luke of course had helped us a lot, he got both Stacy and I a place to stay that was actually owned by his father and got us a moving truck that would arrive with our stuff before us. Earlier today I went to my apartment since the truck came and the men from the moving company helped me pick some necessary stuff I needed excluding furniture since Luke told us the apartment had everything there, I spoke to my landlord and told him I'll be off which he didn't mind to.

Everything felt like it was moving too fast or at least to good to be true but I just needed to trust myself on this right now. I informed Luke that I unfortunately won't be staying at the apartment he got Stacy and I for a week, since I wanted to go see Saya and my pops.

I wanted to spend a whole week at Saya' s place and stay over at my pops for a day before I finally moved to the apartment. It was going to be work and probably stressful but I wanted to do it.

Since I was going to reside in Atlana now, I wanted my mind to forget every negative thing about my life and New York itself.

Ring Ring, I startled hearing my phone start ringing from my jeans pocket. I pulled it out to see who was calling me and was taken aback.

Tabby 💓 I could swear my heart jumped to it.

The ringing went on and on and I zoomed to the fact that I forgot about Tabby for a while? I felt guilty and just empty.

'H-hello?' I reluctantly answered.

'Naomi. You Good?' His voice warmed me up.

'Yeah, I am.' I retorted.

'Was just thinking bout you and I figured I would call. Everything's ok, in New York?' He asked and I could sense the smile in his voice.

'Yeah.' As much as I wanted to smile hard and tell him everything, I felt held back.

'Great. I -,'

'Tabby, I'm moving.' It was like the words just got threatened to come out and they did.

'Moving? Out of your place?' Tabby asked.

'No,well yeah. But more like out of the whole state.' I said and guilt came in my voice, which I wondered why to.

'Oh. To?' He answered after a pause.

'Atlana. I got a job.' I said biting on my lip to hold back everything about Tucker or Luke?

'Oh wow. Where? What about Tucker?' He asked on.

'I just quit, and followed yo stupid advice to use my talent. It's an Entertaiment company. The gig you got me... went kinda viral and I was proposed to go work there.' I said, almsot lying.

'Wow. You moving on so fast.' Hearing that sentence to my ear made me feel uneasy and somewhat hurt.

It felt like he was saying I was moving on from him and forgetting which was not even close to that.

'No. Well kinda.' I sucked my teeth.

'You're sure about Atlana though?' He questioned.

'Yeah, why not? My pops and Saya there.' I furrowed my brows.
