Chapter 20

Kade was massaging his nose when he entered the room. It’s been three days since our fight but it looks like his nose is still swollen. I think I punched that part of him really hard.

“I’m really sorry about your nose,” sabi ko nang maupo sya sa tabi ni Trinity na nasa harapan ko. Napipilitan syang tumango kaya napatawa ako.

I found out that Kade loves taking care of his face like crazy, and he’s serious about maintaining his looks. He’s undeniably handsome too so I understand if he feels upset because I targeted his nose. I also found out that he’s just on Farah’s age. He’s only turning 20, and to be honest, he’s too young to be a part of this group. Sa edad niya ay dapat nag-aaral pa sya pero ang sabi niya’y ayaw niya raw mag-aral.

Kade is like the baby of their team. Siya ang pinakabata.

Wala namang natalo samin nung araw na ’yon dahil walang sumurrender officially. It’s already decided that it ended as draw.

“Arte talaga nito. Pangit ka naman na dati pa kahit hindi basag yang ilong mo,” pang-iinis pa ni Tanya. Kade just snickered and he didn’t pay attention to her anymore.

“Where’s Heron?” she asked. Iginala ko ang paningin at si Heron na nga lang ang wala.

“He was talking to Napoleon when I walked past him,” Liam said. Busy sya sa kaniyang cellphone at himalang may signal dito. Sabagay, we are being surrounded by advanced equipments.

“He was talking to Napoleon?!” Tanya squeaked. Liam nodded.

“Favorite talaga ’yon ni Napoleon, what do you expect? He’s like the reporter of our team. Siguro ay ini-inform niya na kasama na natin si Elora sa mga misyon from now on,” said Trinity. Mukhang na-realize naman ’yon ni Tanya at tumango na lang din.

They said that this Napoleon is the sponsor of the organization. He’s also the founder but he never revealed his true identity to anyone. He remained anonymous throughout the development of the group, but the team mentioned that there’s a huge possibility that Napoleon is part of an elite family from nostre abisso. He couldn’t have funded this organization without money and strings to pull.

Ilang saglit pa kaming nag-usap-usap muna habang hinihintay na dumating si Heron. May meeting kami ngayon dahil mukhang may bago na namang misyon na ibibigay sa kanila si Napoleon, kasama na ako this time.

This organization consists of several squads and departments. Marami kami rito pero may kaniya-kaniyang misyon na nakaatas sa bawat grupo. Nalaman ko rin na may mga kasamahan sila na nasa labas o nasa ibang lugar.

They’re plenty but well hidden.

“Once you managed to impress Napoleon, there’s a huge chance that he will help us locate your sister, Elora. We will be moving and helping each other as a team but he’s also looking at our individual capabilities. Prove yourself to him and he will surely pay you back with a better favor,” Tanya said.

Bigla tuloy akong na-curious sa kung sino ba ang Napoleon na ’to. Parang sobrang bait niya naman ata para bumuo ng ganitong samahan para sugpuin ang mga kriminal sa bansa.

“Albeit we need to be careful now. You said that there’s a huge chance that Vor Kratos is still looking for you. We need to hide ourselves better than before,” Liam said. Napatango naman ako at muling naisip si Vor.

Akalain mo nga namang hindi niya pa ako nahahanap hanggang ngayon. Nasaang parte ba kasi ng Pilipinas ’tong kinaroroonan namin?

“I already saw that Velindre once when we attended an elite party with the help of Napoleon. He’s gorgeous as fuck, Elora. I mean...he really got it all when it comes to his physical appearance. What’s it like to be in his mansion?” Trinity asked on a curious tone. Kita ko ang pag-asim ng mukha ni Kade at umakto pang nasusuka.
