"Hello! Nice to see you again!" a Hufflepuff boy said, who looked very familiar, once we reached the table.

"Who is this?" I whispered to Lisa. She shrugged.

"Yeah... nice to see you too again... It has been a long time since... since we saw eachother... last time." Lisa said still confused. We both put on a big fake smile.

"You remember me, right?" he asked.

"Yes! Of course! You're...." I started, not finishing after 10 seconds.

"It's me! Cedric!" he said. Suddenly I remembered him. I noticed Lisa did too.

"I'm sorry!" we both said. He didn't seem to care that we forgot him and laughed.

Suddenly the Great Hall door opened and the hall went silent.

"Oh yes. I forgot about the Sorting Ceremony. Now we get to judge every new student." Lisa said. A line of nervous and excited first years followed McGonagall to the teachers table. Last year McGonagall led the Ceremony, but this time she walked away. Instead of McGonagall, professor Flitwick led it. The Sorting Hat began to sing its song.

"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge in what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep you bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For um the Hogwarts SortingHat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, never, and chivalry Set Gryffindor apart;
You might belong to Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true and unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin,
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folk use any means,
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don't be afraid!
And don't get in a flap!
You're in safe hand (though I have none)
For I'm a Thinking Cap!"

When the Hat finished, everyone applauded. "That hat can sing better than you do." Lisa said casually.

"Thanks." I responded sarcastically.

"When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted." Flitwick said.

"Colin Creevey!". A tiny boy walked to the front.

"I bet he's a Hufflepuff." Lisa said.

"No, he gives off major Gryffindor vibes." I responded.

"GRYFFINDOR!" the Hat shouted. I smirked and swatted her head.

"1-0 for me" I said.

"Robert Hilliard!" Flitwick said.

"Slytherin." we both said in unison.

"RAVENCLAW!" the Hat shouted. Our jaws dropped.

"No way he's a Ravenclaw." Lisa said.

"Still 1-0 for me" I said.

Other new students got sorted into their houses. The score rose up to 32-28 for me.

"Luna Lovegood!" Flitwick said when almost everyone was sorted. A girl with light blond (almost white) hair walked to the front. She had a very dreamy expression.
