Sarah 😈: How do it feel to be 20?
Dani: Not as good as it would feel to be 21😂
Nikki 🌸: lol
Alex 🍃: You goin out tonight or what?
Dani: For once, all my assignments are done so - yeah
Sarah 😈: FINALLY. We haven't partied with you in ages!
Dani: I knowwww
Alex 🍃: I heard the Kappas are having a party tonight 👀
Nikki 🌸: let's go let's goooo!
Sarah 😈: Dani you in?
Dani: Definitely. Tonight is gonna be my night!
11:45 pm Kappa frat house
When the girls arrived, the party was already in full swing. Music was blasting out of the speakers into the living room. Every square inch of the small ranch home was packed with people.
Dani decided to go all out for her birthday outfit. She wore a very tiny silver dress. It had cut outs on her sides to give the illusion of an hourglass figure. When she tried on the outfit at home, she felt confident and sexy, but here at the party- Dani felt exposed.
"I'm going to the kitchen!" Dani yelled to her friends over the music.
She pushed through crowds clouds of smoke and twerking girls to finally get to the kitchen. It was a smaller closed off space complete with oak cabinets and tile floors. Not many people were in the room as it wasn't the center of the action.
There were some mostly empty pizza boxes on the counter and a few coolers on the floor. Dani reached down and opened one.
Dani wasn't a drinker. She tried a beer freshman year and couldn't get past the first sip. It was disgusting. But she saw what alcohol could do for other people. It could give them confidence even if they didn't have any. It made people loosen up an enjoy the party- and right now that's what Dani needed.
I've worked so hard to have this night off. I can't spend it hiding myself in the corner. I- I need to do this.
She grabbed the strongest drink she could find and chugged.
12 hours later...
Ow! My head!
Ugh what's that smell?
My back is killing me!
Wait...where the hell am I?
Dani woke up still in last nights dress...sort of. One of the straps had broken, leaving part of her chest exposed. Her legs had dried bits of yesterday's lunch on them- which was the source of the awful smell. And strangest of all- she wasn't in a bed, she was in a bath tub!
"Hello?" Dani croaked. Her voice was raspy and not on a hot way. She sounded like a chain smoker. Her mouth tasted like barf and metal.
What happened last night?
"Hello?" She called again.
Finally she heard footsteps and voices drawing closer to the bathroom. The door creaked open and there in the frame stood three very disheveled girls.
Nikki, Alex, and Sarah crowded the doorway with concerned looks on their faces.
"Your finally awake! How are you feeling?" Asks Sarah.
"I've got a crazy headache and I'm covered in what I assume is my own vomit. I feel like shit."
"Well you should! You got totally trashed last night and got us banned from the Kappa house! You've never partied like that before- what's gotten into you!" Alex grilled Dani.
"I got us banned? I- how? I-,"
"You probably don't remember. I barley remember it myself, but snapchat and Twitter do- and they'll never forget it." Shaking, Nikki handed Dani her phone.
It was open to a viral Twitter post showing Dani dancing on the table with a crowd of partiers egging her on. Her short dress continuously ridding up, flashing her area to the cameras. All the fun quickly stops when she starts projectile vomiting onto the onlookers. Alex and Sarah pulling her down by the dress straps. They drag her out of the party still spewing.
It was beyond horrible.
The liquid courage had not been worth it. It had ruined her social life and possible her academic one as well.
"Do you think the school has seen this?"
"Definitely."
"Don't worry girl! It was an off campus party, they won't kick you out for it. But it did go viral and they want to look good with parents so you can expect some type of punishment for your uh, crimes."
"Ugh." Dani groaned and let her head flop against the shower wall. She was an embarrassment. How could she show her face on campus ever again?
Really wish I was someone else right now. Anyone else, I just don't want to wake up tomorrow and still be me.
"Well, now that your okay I'm gonna head out."
"Ooh me too." Alex and Nikki left the apartment.
"I'll stay. Somebody's gotta nurse you back to health and take your mind off things."
"Thanks Sarah, your a real o-,"
[vomits]
"Aaaand that's why we put you in the shower."
