8 | The Plan

"You WHAT?" Jungkook was LIVID.
Just when things seemed semi bearable they all came crashing down again.

"I-I got you k-k" Dani begins hyperventilating as Jungkook paces the room, his (Dani's) body shaking with rage.

"We have GOT to switch back."

"I know but, how? I don't even understand how we switched in the first place!" Whines Dani.

"I think I know someone who can help us."

"Wait- the magic shop is a real place?"

Dani is flabbergasted as the pair stand outside the "magic shop". It was a small rounded building sandwiched between two mammoth modern high rises. It looked like a wooden leg of a tree, partially covered in moss. It truly seemed other worldly.

"Do they really do magic in there?"

Jungkook lets out a hearty laugh as Dani. "Don't be ridiculous! This is where the guys and i used to go to get physical therapy after long tours. The work they do on the body really is like magic! They would have us feeling brand new in a matter of hours! Come on".

The inside of the magic shop feels even more magical than the eclectic outside. Crystals and wind chimes hung from the ceiling and incense burned in every corner of the room. The ceilings were low but the decor was so calming, neither guest felt cramped.

"Welcome, I've been expecting y-," CRASH.
A short woman, presumably the store owner, dropped her glass plates onto the tiled floor in shock.

"Oh no! Let me help." Dani immediately bent down and began gathering the bigger chipped pieces together.

The woman approached Dani, wide eyed and mouth agape. "Oh this is very very bad. Your energy- it's all switched up!"

"I knew you'd notice right away! You know how to fix us?" Asks Jungkook.

"Hmm this will be most difficult but mama Jade always finds a way! Come to the back you two."

The group follows mama Jade into the staff room in the back of the shop. She closes the door behind them for privacy.

"You know Kookie, this is what happens when you boys don't schedule your annual appointment!"

"I know mama, the label wanted us to start using in house therapists instead. For our safety and convenience."

"And a lot of good that did you! I don't care what the big man says! When you are sore after tour, you only come to ME! Got it?"

"Yes mama. So, what should we do now? How do we fix this?"

Mama Jade does a series of tests. She pinches cheeks, shines lights in ear canals, inspects hair lines with magnifying glasses.
Dani looks over to Jungkook with quiet concern but he seems to have the upmost confidence in mama Jades work. She's never been wrong before.

"To switch back, both of you need to correct the things that you threw out of balance in each others life. Danielle, you must fix Jungkook's career! Jungkook, you must mend the relationship between Danielle and her friends. Once all has been corrected you shall switch back into the correct bodies."

"What? But I didn't mess anything up for Dani! She did that before the switch!"

"Hey!" Dani protests.

"You don't remember this?" Jade places an acupuncture needle between Jungkook's eyebrows. His eyes widen as he sees the memory of himself yelling and screaming at the young woman in Dani's bed.

"You yelled at Sarah? Why would you do that?!"

"I thought she was a fan! I didn't realize I wasn't me yet! I'm sorry, I forgot about that."

"Now she's probably telling the other girls that I'm ungrateful! I'll have even less friends than I did before! I'll have no friends!" Dani begins clutching her forehead in tears.
The overwhelming fear and dread of going back to her old way of life swept over her. She begins to weep.

Feeling remorseful, Jungkook places his hand on her shoulder for comfort. "Don't worry Dani. I'll fix this. I promise. When you return to your life it'll be okay, it'll be better than okay! I'll make sure of it."

"Th-thank you. I'll figure out how to fix your situation too."

"So it's settled! Once both situations have been corrected, you'll wish yourself back into your old life and your energies will transfer back into the correct bodies! All will be right with the world!"

Jungkook and Dani face each other and embrace for the last time. "Goodluck". They say in unison before leaving in two different directions. Both of them on a mission.

Determined to set things right.
