Loss, the loss of a loved one breaks someone forever, no matter how much they say that they are ok or that they are fine, they are broken. When you get that call or watching it happen it repeats in your mind over and over again untill you drive yourself insane. Theres no escaping, you might wonder if it was your fault which is normal. Time doesn't heal everything, in fact it makes things worse in some situations. You wish you could turn back time but no time machine can fix what has already been done.

The woman next door had givin birth to a sick baby boy, it barely cried and it was having a hard time breathing. Eventually he was gone. Joyce could hear her cries and it made her cry, she felt so bad she just wanted to hug her and comfort her. It did make her worry, she wants this to work but what if it doesn't? All of that loss would happen and it scared her, she's been through it before and she doesn't wanna do it again.

She's getting closer to birth, 8 hours and 7 centimeters. The pain is increasing, hasn't been able to sleep. Johnathan and Will had both slept and Joyce has been trying to get Hopper to but he doesn't want to, he wants to be with her through all of it, he doesn't want to miss a single second. He was the same when Sarah was born, and it was Diane, still acts as if its his first which Joyce found cute.

"How do you feel?" Hopper asked Joyce while rubbing his hand on her arm

"Not well, i'm doing the best I can to subside the pain but nothing's working"

"I'm sorry, this will be over soon, it's all going to be worth it in the end."

"I know" she smiles and whispers

She thinks for a few minuts and starts to worry.

"Hey Hop?"

"Hey Joyce" he responds

"I was thinking, and I just know that your going to love this baby so much that your not going to leave it right? Please tell me your not going to leave, I need you here with me helping out, I can't do this alone."
She doesn't want it growing up knowing that it's father left.

"Who says i'm leaving?"

"Since lonnie became a drunk and left us" Jonathan answered

"I'm not lonnie, I am never going to be him. I'm staying for as long as I need to, not only for the baby but for you guys to. You have to know that I love you like my own, i'm never going to leave. So get that thought our of ya'lls heads."

"Thank you Hop you really play a big part in this family" Joyce told him almost tearing up

"I try to be"

The kids feel like they can trust him alot more now, they knew that he wouldn't leave anyways because he now has a child to take care of and he loves Joyce too much. He knew how heartbreaking it would be for Joyce and the kids to just leave, pull a lonnie. He never planed on leaving, as long as Joyce was there he was there.

Joyce felt like she finaly found someone who's not going to drift from her or leave. She knew he was going to be there for her whenever she needed him but didn't expect him to stick around for this long. They were all officially a family.

A few hours pass of them doing nothing but watching T.V and eating all of the snacks in the vending machine. It's getting tiring for them, waiting and waiting for this to happen but nothing is happening. But something is happening. The nurse walks in and checks her.

"10 centimeters, Its time for it to come out" The nurse said enthusiasticaly

"Are you ready?" Hopper asked Joyce while holding her hand

"I'm ready" She smiles squeezing his hand back. The woman leaves and comes back with doctors. The kids go to the waiting room while Hopper stays in the room with Joyce.

It was happening, it's finally happening, they are finally having their baby. The moment they both have been most exited for since. They are not letting go of each other, one hand holding the other tightly.
It's one thing to have a baby with someone you love but it's another thing to have a baby with someone your in-love with. There's a difference, one always feels more special than the the other, not because of the baby but because of the person your having it with.

Hopper couldn't stand still, he was so exited and so was she. They put her in the right position for birth and waited for the next contraction to come. A nurse came by her side and held on to her other hand.

"What number is this?" The nice young lady asked

"My third" Joyce held on to her hand

"Girls or boys?"

"Two boys, i'm hoping this ones is a girl"

"Two boys? Wow that must've been tough raising" The nurse gave her a shocked look

"Yeah it was, especially with a crappy father, it was really hard." Joyce chuckled a bit

"Oh?" The nurse quickly turned her head to Hopper, from the look on her face they knew that she thought he was their father

"Oh no, hes not their father" Joyce laughed "Just this one" She assured her

The next contraction hit, she pushed as hard as she could, leaving her breathless after every push. The pain increases a litte bit as the babies head starts showing, Hopper took a look and was suprised, shocked, and speachless. Joyce laughed at his reaction.
The next few pushes were harder and more painful but after about 45 minutes of pushing, Its was finally out.

5 pounds 8 ounces. It was a baby girl, they put her on Joyces chest wraped in a little blanket. It metled their hearts when she looked up at them." Thank you for coming out of me" Joyce looked at her while crying a bit.

"Do we have a name for her yet?" One of the nurses asked

"No not yet" Hopper answered not even lifting his head up from the newborn

"Ok thats fine, from now untill you have a name were just going to call her baby girl Byers"

The pair smiled and turned their head back to the baby. "Hello" Hopper sniffled and put his hand on the babies head. This moment was beautiful, they both felt so lucky to have been in this moment together with the beautiful thing that they have created. Hopper lifted his head up to give Joyce a kiss on her forehead but she lifts her head up before he could do anything. Their faces were so close, their eyes were looking into each other this was the perfect moment, so they kiss. It wasn't long but it was good enough.

Both of them were so happy, more happy that they have felt in a long time.
