Everything is going to be ok (JOPPER)

The Talk

The doctor's left them alone for a few minutes after Joyce had cleaned up to breast feed. It was a wonderful time, just the three of them. She had eyes like Hoppers, Hair like Joyces, there was no telling if she looked more like either one of them. Hopper claimes that she has all of Joyces looks but of course she disagrees. Hopper feels as if he has been with Joyce this whole time, being hers, like nothing changed from when they were dating in highschool, like they were living out their plans for the future. Giving each other that same blushed smile and touch that sent shivers down their spines every time. Both love the baby just as much as they love each other. They wanted the kids to see her before Joyce tries to go to sleep.

Hopper gets up and placed a mellow kiss on the baby's head and then rubed his hand along side of Joyces cheek which he earned and sweet smile from. Him and Joyce were still confused on what their relationship was. One kiss could mean anything, it could have just meant that they were in the moment and it felt like the right time.

He went out to the front and motioned to the kids to come over to him. They follow him down the hall while mobbing him with questions "Is the baby here", "Is mom okay", "Is the baby okay?

He lets them in without saying anything, just smiling. Joyce gave them a big, warm, welcoming smile. "Hi guys".

They walk in the room with a big smile on their face, they walk up to her slowly paying all their atention to the baby while the uncontrollable tears start to swell up in their eyes. "So cute" El says in a whisper.

"I'm guessing it's a girl from the pink striped beanie." Jonathan ponted out

"Yeah it's a girl" Hopper confirmed

"So like did it hurt?" Will asked

They all stared at him with a face that screames Are you serious?

"No it felt like I was running through a medow, except I wasn't running and I was in a hospital delivering a baby." She said with a sarcastic smile.

El was the most exited, she's never seen such a small human before and she thinks it's so facinating. She can't keep her eyes off of her. Joyce knows that El was the most exited for this moment to come so she makes her feel special by asking if she wants to hold her, El agrees. Joyce passes her over carefully. Impossibly more enjoyment fills the both of them, soon tears of joy fall. They fall so slowly and gracefully, taking all the time in the world to enjoy this.

Hopper, not thinkng he would ever see this but yet he is, he is so enchated by it seeing 3 of his most important things in the world...become a family. Their energy rubs off on the boys and they start getting emarisingly emotional, smiling graJfully.
The baby startes crying and with El not knowing if she did something wrong, she give her back to Joyce.

"Did I do something wrong?" El asked picking at her scabbed fingertips in confusion and a concerned stance, hoping she didn't hurt her or upset her in anyway.

"No no no sweetie, you didn't. You did great, she just doesn't know you yet but she will soon." She reasures her. Soon after they all get to have their time with the baby, the rest of them came in and also cried of enjoyment until they eventually left due to it being late. All thats left in the hospital now is the Byers and Nancy.

Hopper, like he would usually do if he had more chances, watch her sleep. Not in a creapy way no, he wants to imagine their lives together but he knows his imagination will never come true so they are just floating around in his head just like the words he wishes he could say but can't because he's afraid he would be shuned or he would scare her off.

There is too much tention between them to not have people notice. The words they say, the looks they give each other just screams I love you. More heart break has been betweeen then than almost any other sadness, both wanting each other and always have. The room was silent and no one else was there except the sleeping beauty that is Joyce and their beautiful baby sleeping next to her bed, then hopper sitting down next to Joyce watching both of them, untill Nancy walks in.

"Is she in here?" Nancy walks in refering to the baby girl

"Yeah she's over here sleeping"

Nancy walks over to him and stands with her arms crossed "I can't decide which one she looks more like you or Joyce."

"Oh what are you kidding she's gorgeous its all Joyce"

Nancy gives him a smile but confused look it took her a few seconds to say something "Im sorry, for the last time why aren't you two together again?"

Hopper looks at her and then looks back at the sleeping girls and sighs

"No I know I know because your not in that place, which would be fine except you totaly are." Nancy points out

"Its...Its complicated ok?"

"Yeah thats true yeah you love her you always have you have a child together theres no right answer."

"Look we've been together okay? And then apart, and then together, and then apart and now we have a baby. Its just if we got together again and it didn't work out....I would never do that to the baby ya know? I mean she came into this world thinking......" He tears up while he takes a long pause "It's just Joyce and I are doing really well right now."

"I know I know I know If you try to make it more you might reck it"

"Exaclty"

"Right...or you might get everything you wanted since highschool"

He looks up at her thinking he might consider it. She leaves him alone for a few to think untill Joyce woke up. She gives him a warm/soft smile "Hi"

"Hi" he said in almost a whisper

"How are you?" She asks, her voice still sleepy

He took a few seconds to respond which worried Joyce a bit. She knew something was on his mind, like something was bothering him but she let him take his time.

"Joyce um...I" he said thinking this is the moment

"You what?"

He stuggles to find the right words but nothing is going on in his mind, like his mind went blank all of a sudden which was weird because his mind is always filled wih thoughts about her even though he tries to push it way...he just can't.

"Hopper your worrying me"

"Joyce I...Am starving, do you want some food?" He avoids telling her

"Uh Yeah sure I am also starving"
