The day didn't go how they planned. But being a Demi-god, you know the day rarely will.
The Argo ii was sailing high above the Atlantic below. That day the monster attacks were low. Leo wanted to do something to take the nerves off everyone, so he suggested a party. Coach hedge protested but they wouldn't give up.
"Please it would help us focus!"
"C'mon man just once."
"lighten up"
"please, please, pretty please"
"why not??"
" There is probably a new MMA fight on"
Eventually he gave in. "Fine Cupcakes! I can't put up with your whining right now! I have a call to make anyway " He stomped off. Just before going though the door he spun around and yelled "BUT JUST BECAUSE I'M NOT HERE DOESN'T MEAN I AIN'T STILL MONITORING!!" he pointed two fingers to his eyes and then pointed them at the group. "I hear and see everything, everything" he whispered as he backed away slowly.
They didn't want to test their luck another day so they got to work. Percy was on snack duty and came back with a bunch of blue food. Leo whipped up some cool decorations and made a multi-functioning disco ball. They met back in the lounge about 15 minutes later.
"Finally," Piper sighed.
"What should we do?" Percy asked as he grabbed a blue cookie off the table "we've been busy so long, I've never thought we'd have a chance to relax."
Leo grinned "well... I had time to whip this bad baby up," he pulled a big ball covered in sequins out from behind him. Frank's eyebrows knit "a disco ball?" Leo laughed "yes and no," he tapped the top of it, " watch, it's a karaoke disco ball" "not sure that helps." Frank muttered. "Well I'm not done with my explanation" rolling his eyes Leo continued. He flipped a small remote in his hand. The disco ball top came off and folded itself along the side. It started spinning, plastering bright dots of lights around the room. A small screen emerged from within.
"Sweet" Percy sang. "The remote doubles as a microphone!" Leo told them as he jumped up and said into the mic "Hey Jude, The Beatles." The tune started playing out of the ball."Hey Jude, don't make it bad....
Take a sad song, and make it betterrrrrrr......""It might be a sad song but it's about making it better!" Leo explained.
He continued singing and one by one everyone joined in.
"Hey Jude don't be afraid..."
By the end of their off-tune septet, they were all smiling and laughing. They went a few more rounds, each taking turns picking out a song laughing and eating and having a considerably great time.
Percy snatched the remote slash microphone tool from Jason's hand.
"Congrats Demi-Gods on your voyage promising in almost certain death! Tonight we have some very special performances to honour our no monster attack streak! Up next we have the incredible, amazing, fantastic, SUPER AWESOME...... PERCY -THE COOL, WATER BENDER- JACKSON!! GET READY FOR THE MOST HYPE PERFORMANCE EVER TO HAVE BEEN PERFORMED ON THE ARGO II OR EVER WILL BE PERFORMED!!!""HIT IT! Thunderstruck by AC/DC"
"Are there even any lyrics to that song?" Jason said under his breath.
The song was in barely five seconds before the ship rocked violently to one side. Percy toppled over onto the remote turning the volume all the way up.
"Gah, Seaweed Brain turn that down!"
"I think we have other priorities right now." Piper shouted over the music, clutching her ears as they were hurtled to the other side.
