I am actually sweating. My hand were shaking as a I paced back and forth in the small room, taking a shot of the scotch that sat next to the mirror.
"Ana!" I heard David call and I thanked the lord he was here.
"David I'm so fücking nervous." I hissed. He sighed and smiled softly, taking the drink from my hand and downing the rest of it.
"Relax. Relax. You look handsome, everything is in order. There is nothing to panic about." He breathed.
"My bro is getting married!" I heard my cousin Kaylin yell as he slammed the door open.
"Why are you such an asshole?" I hissed. He looked at me with a faux hurt look before chuckling.
"You know me man, always have to make an appearance."
"Yeah well, it's annoying."
I wish my mom was here. I wish she was here to kiss my forehead and tell me to calm down and that the love of my life was ready to marry me. I know she's watching. We even reserved a seat with her photo on it.
I cried last night about it. After I got back to my hotel room I prayed. I prayed until I couldn't pray anymore. I prayed for my mom, and even my father. If things were different and he didn't destroy my entire being that I had to build back from scratch, maybe he would be here to comfort me too.
But he was never good at that. So it probably wouldn't have been any different.
I prayed for the love I have with Kate. I prayed that this is just the start of something amazing. Something more potent and rawer than it already was. I prayed for our kids. My lovely boy and my princess. They are well taken care of by both of us and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I was ready to start my forever.
David looked at his watch and grinned.
"It's time."
I gulped and nodded, letting out a breath before walking out of the room.
