The brunette was confused, confused at the fact that she time-traveled. In her mind, it made sense but at the same time I didn't.

"What do you mean 'I time traveled twenty years back'?" She said sitting down while Dumbledore made his way towards his desk.

"Yes, I know, it's a little shocking considering just ten minutes ago you were in 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧, 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐲-𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 and now you're in 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧, 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲-𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞." He answered, making Iris think.

"Yeah I understand that, but why? I thought you were sending me on a mission you even made me study with Hermione and she's brutal." Iris made her eyes big making Dumbledore chuckle.

"Yes, I did..." He paused and turned serious. "I sent you here because 'time will only tell the truth'."

Iris stared at the old man with half-moon eyeglasses, blankly.

"What do you mean? 'time will only tell the truth.'" Puzzled, the girl stood up and started pacing.

"I honestly don't know. Myself from the future sent myself 'present' a letter telling me to tell you that phrase." He put his hands together and smiled, Iris stoped pacing and looked at him.

"Okay, so I just stay here or d— " The brunette was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Come in." Dumbledore smiled at the sight of four boys tumbling to the door. They quickly stood up, dusted themselves and faced the Headmaster.

"Sorry, we're late professor we were..." A young boy with long black hair trailed off looking at his friends for any sort of help.

"That's quite alright Mr. Black you don't have to explain yourselves." Dumbledore stood up from his seat and walked to his phoenix bird.

"Wait! Did you say Black as is Sirius Orion Black?" Iris asked making the four boys look at her, finally noticing the girl.

"Yes, like I said to you before, miss Hendrix you accidentally time-traveled to the past." He clearly lied, but Iris didn't argue.

"Wait! She time-traveled? How?" A boy with bushy brown hair and round glasses asked.

"Yes, Mr. Potter, Ms. Hendrix here had a time-turner and accidentally fell and turned time. Isn't that right Ms. Hendrix?" Dumbledore asked the girl as she slowly nodded.

"Cool!... Wait! Then why is she here instead of going back." Sirius asked, crossing his arms in the process.

"Considering her situation her time-turner broke and we can't just ask the ministry for a new one, I myself will fix it for her. Although It will take some time but until then I asked you four here because I assumed she needed some familiar faces so she won't feel uncomfortable." The Headmaster patted James and Sirius's backs.

"Of course... " A boy with scars on his face said slowly. "Wait, How are we 'familiar faces'?"

"I'll let Ms. Hendrix answer that." Dumbledore turned to Iris who was currently staring at James, the boy looks so much like Harry she thought. Dumbledore cleared his throat, making Iris turn to him.

"Huh? Oh! Um well, you see... What was the question?" She looked down at her hands in embarrassment.

"How do you know us in the future?" Sirius repeated Remus question.

"Oh! Well um, I'm friends with your..." She sounded hesitant at first but looked at Dumbledore for confirmation, he nodded and she continued. "Kids. Though all thre— four of you treat me as a friend."

She didn't completely lie.

"What?! I have kids, yeah no way, will see about that. I am not having kids ever." Sirius claimed, the boy didn't want any commitments, at least not yet.

Iris shook her head, of course Sirius would say that. The girl was about to say something but Dumbledore gave her a pointed look.

"Right. I won't say a thing. I'll keep my mouth shut." Iris zipped her 'lips and threw the key away'.

"Anyways, all I'm asking is for you four to take care of her by the time being, I don't know how long it'll take to fix the time-turner. Please do not mention this to anyone it could make her be in danger."

"Okay." The four said in usion.

"One quick question. What house is she in?" Peter spoke up.

"Slytherin." She said proudly, making the four groan.

"You seem nice to be a Slytherin." Sirius looked at her and narrowed his eyes.

"Well, not all Slytherins are bad Padfoot. You would be surprised." She calmly said, shrugging her shoulders.

"How did you... Nevermind I forgot 'future things'." Sirius quoteated with is hands. Iris didn't listen to him and turned to the Headmaster.

"Professor, what about my dorm room? And my time's table?"

"Yes, you'll be sharing a dorm with Ms. Snape I assume you know her." She smiled as he raised and eyebrow. "As for your time's table, come to my office before breakfast Monday morning. You may all leave. Oh, and Ms. Hendrix the password for your common room is the same one when you left."

"Thank you, professor." The brunette turned around and grabbed her bag.

Once they were out the Marauders were following her back to the dungeons. For two reasons one; they wanted to know the password and two; they were curious so they just stared at her, observing her.

"You know it's rude to stare. You can go to your common room I know you're just following me to get the passwords so you can prank us." She turned to them and raised an eyebrow, they all put offended faces.

"Us? Prank you never. How dare you accuse us in such thing!" Sirius put his hand in his heart.

"Padfoot you and Prongs once told me that you used to prank Serveus and some Slytherins because they would want to be and I quote 'wannabe deatheaters'. Plus I don't want you to prank me." She turned back around and left out their sight.

"That woman is something. She probably knows every prank we've done." Peter crossed his arms and gave them a look.

"Yeah, but if we trusted her in the future we should probably trust her now, right?" Remus suggested, slinging his arms to the closest duo.

"I'm willing to try if you guys are." James shrugged.

"Sure.'' The three said in usion.

𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭; James didn't trust Iris, simply for the fact she was a Slytherin.
