Iris woke up in the boy's dorm room. How? Maybe someone carried her... She didn't know, nor did she care. All she wanted to do now was run to Dumbledore's office and request a mission of her own.
So, ignoring the pain in her head and ignoring how her feet almost gave out, she ran. All the way to the headmaster's office.
But, as she was running she was spotted by her four trouble-making friends. They tried stopping her but they couldn't exactly reach her. So, they followed her.
When she got to Dumbledores office she muttered the password quickly. With the gargoyle opening, swiftly she made her way inside. The marauders following without her knowledge.
"Professor Dumbledore." She panted in between breaths holding herself on the door frame.
"I know Ms, Hendrix. And I do give you permission." He said before needing any explanation and stood from his desk.
"How did you-" She was about to ask her question when all of the sudden she heard four thuds.
When she turned around she saw all four marauders laying on the floor, groaning and complaining about each other.
"Mr. Black, what were you boys doing outside my office?" Dumbledore asked acting surprised by their appearance.
"We followed Iris because she started acting bonkers-" Remus covered his mouth stopping him from spilling the truth.
"What he meant was that we saw Iris running so we followed her to see if she was alright." Remus corrected.
"I see, well Ms. Hendrix is perfectly fine. As you can see." Dumbledore gestured towards the girl. "She just has to take care of some business outside the castle. Meaning she'll be gone for a few days."
"I'm fine, I'll see you later, I promise." She assured them and ushered them to leave.
"Where are you going?" James asked before leaving, feeling the most curious.
"Some business, you guys should leave, I promise I'll be back." She reassured them and rushed them out.
When they left Dumbledore led her to a secret passage behind his portrait, that lead to the outside of Hogwarts. Once they got to the end of the protection barrier he began to speak.
"Are you ready Ms. Hendrix?" He asked as he took something from his pocket.
''Yes, but I have a question, why are you permitting me to go back?" She questioned as she took the Time-Turner from him.
"Some things are meant to happen. I suggest you change your clothes." He gestured to her school attire.
"I don't wear a uniform It's just a simple illusion charm I learned." She waved it off as she took out her wand, changing her clothes into regular ones.
"Of course, are you ready?" He asked one last time as he to turned the small sphere.
"Thank you again, professor, I promise I'll be back in a few days." Looking down at the time-turner she let go of the button and everything started to disappear.
"I expect nothing less." He whispered to himself.
