Halloween soon arrived but not before the Marauders and Iris sneaked into Hogsmeade and purchased a costume for the girl— much to her dismay. She didn't know how or when but they convinced her.

Normally she would comfort Harry and assure him that everything's alright, and now knowing that today is the day and not doing her yearly routine, felt weird.

Weird? What that the word she was looking for?

She didn't know.

Did it matter?

No.

Currently, Lindsy and her were getting ready for 'the greatest day of their lives'— as Lindsay described it since it was their first party attending together.

Let's just say the raven-haired girl was a little too excited.

Lindsy wore a light pink turtle neck shirt with a brown dress overall. Her eyeliner was slightly smudged to look like she'd been crying and with a little bit of magic, she made it look like her leg was bleeding.

Iris on the other hand wanted to go all out— not really— it was Sirius's idea of buying a wedding gown and tearing it apart to make it look like she had been run over. And he specifically ordered her to ruin her makeup for and I quote 'the sake of Godric'

She obeyed orders, not wanting to get scolded by the boy.

In the boy's dorm;

The four were messing around, having a little too much fun with Lily's eyeshadow— that she let them borrow in order to make fake mustaches on their face, seeing as they could barely grow any facial hair.

Now, instead of putting two small lines in their upper lips, they were chasing each other and getting it all over their beds.

In the end, they barely had enough to put on their faces.

Although they still had an hour, they decided to meet before so they could decorate the common room 'just right'.

With decorations they bought— the day they bought Iris's dress— they had everything covered including food and drinks, thanks to Lindsy and Remus sneaking into the kitchens late at night.

When the two girls got there, they were surprised to see everything decorated. Surprisingly the boys did a good job, or so they thought.

Although that probably wasn't the case after seeing the boys descend from the stairs with surprised expressions.

"Who decorated?" Remus asked, motioning the room with his finger. He knew that it wasn't the girls since they had the same expressions the boys had.

"Don't look at us," Lindsy said putting her hands in defense.

"But if you guys didn't decorate, who did?" Peter questioned, looking around.

"We did!" Voices suddenly said.

They all looked up to see Lily Evans, Alice Fortescue, Mary McDonald, and Marlene Mckinnon standing on the stairs.

"Why?" James questioned, crossing his arms.

"We wanted credit for throwing a good party," Marlene said smirking and descending from the stairs, wearing a vampire costume.
