Chapter 23

Y/N'S POV

I let out a sigh as I admired the view of the city. The busy streets filled with people, the honking of the vehicles stuck in traffic, the shouts of people frustrated of how slow the traffic was moving. It somehow made me calm, listening to those sounds. If you listen closely you can hear how they correlate to one another, harmonizing with each other. A whirl of wind wooshed through the city coincidentally, the door flew open revealing a figure standing and leaning on the door frame.

"Y/N wanna go grab a bite?" Soyeon unnie said. PD nim chose correctly, she is the epitome of a good leader. Never showing her weakness and being there for us. She's like a mom to us, she takes care of us sometimes I wonder how she can balance all things at once. Especially us, her annoying children always not knowing what to do without her. She's the backbone and the shoulder of the group, she's a sweet and kind person. And I for one thank God that I have met her.

"Sure" I responded as we headed down to eat.

We arrived at the resto wearing our masks, we entered as people eyed us suspiciously. With our manager trailing at our back we took a seat at the far end where we wouldn't be exposed too much. We ordered and not too long enough our food arrived.

"I'll be at the other table, enjoy your food girls" Colossus oppa said.

"Nae" we replied.

"Thank you for the food!" we said in chorus. We started digging in, nobody uttered a word indicating that they were all hungry. I chuckled a little bit.

"Mwo?" Ryujin said while slurping noodles.

"Nothing all of you just look cute" I said grinning and poked her cheeks.

"Yah!" she said shouting. As soon as she noticed the attention she got she bowed down awkwardly and said sorry for the inconvenience to the other customers.

As she sat down she gave me a death glare as I stifled a laugh from how awkward she was.

We both got kicked under the table by soyeon unnie and gave us a stern look. We stopped what we were doing and continued eating.

"So you and Mina huh?" Rosè said while munching. It was her turn to get kicked by soyeon unnie.

"That hurts you know!" Chaeyoung said half whispering half shouting while she rubbed her knee.

"I told you to not bring it up! " Soyeon unnie retorted. Chaeyoung had a confused look, then it turned into a "Oh" face.

"It's fine you can ask me anything" I said while slurping noodles.

"So...... are you together?" Natty asked.

I put down my chopsticks before answering.

"I don't even know if we're together or not although I want us to be" I said. As I breathed in deeply before answering.

"Well why not? " she asked again.

I sighed deeply.

"Look love is an addiction, it can be a dangerous one or a good one. Once you touch the surface of love you keep on getting reeled in, wanting more. But sometimes love can turn into a different feeling, may it be pleasure, lust or just pure hatred. Love can spiral out of control and I think that's what we're both afraid of. " I said as they nodded their heads understanding the situation.

As I thought about what I said a light bulb in my head lighted up. I suddenly stood up and went running out of the restaurant.

" Hey where are you going!!!!"
Soyeon unnie shouted.

I stopped, smiled at her and said,

"To spiral out of control"

and left.

I headed to a jewelry shop. I looked around and saw a beautiful diamond ring. I didn't waste a second as I bought it and put it in my pocket.

I headed to the their dorm as rain started to pour. It trickled down my body and my clothes were getting wet. I didn't care all I cared about was reaching her, I ran as fast as I could finally I reached their dorm.

I stopped at their door and pounded on the door repeatedly. I heard footsteps at the door and someone unlocking it.

"Wh- oh Y/N hi there" Chaeyoung said while opening the door.

"Where's Mina" I said

"She's inside" she responded.

I walkes inside to see the other members watching a movie I spotted Mina I approached her.

"Can we...... Talk?" I said as she nodded the others gave mischievous grins while the others were confused.

I shut the door behind and told her to sit down. I started to pace back and forth on the room.

"Look" I said breathing in.

"I make THE worst choices, I........ I'm very bad when it comes to choices like the worst." I kept on panicking and stuttering on what to say next.

"Just breathe, calm down and just tell me." she said which calmed me down.

"I love you Mina and I'm afraid that if I wait for too long I might lose you or if not I'll spiral out of control and I won't be able to pick myself back up again. I'm afraid that I'll make another wrong choice and this time....."

"A piece of my heart will be taken with it."

"I wanna be with you, I wanna be with you forever, because you are my one true love and I don't want to screw it up. But I'm afraid that I'll screw it up because screwing it up is what I do best" I said sighing and panting for air.

"But I don't wanna screw it up..... I wanna make it right, I wanna wake up next to you everyday for the rest of my life, I want to love you till I die, I want to hold your hand and tell you how much I love you, or... or even adopt kids! If you want me to wait for you then I will, words can't describe how much I love you and want to be with you." I stepped forward and kneeled down on one leg. She looled surprised at the same time her eyes flickering with joy. I mustered every courage I had left to say:

"Will you marry me?"
