Tooth's P.O.V
I sighed as Angela recovered from her 5th nightmare. Although she had been acting fine and even said she was doing okay, she really wasn't. Each nightmare that she had wasn't because of Pitch, because there was no black sand involved. However, we had been suspecting that he had something to do with this. Every time Jack or I comforted her, she would go back to sleep as if nothing had happened. "Is she doing alright?" Jack whispered from the bed next to Angela's. I hadn't wanted to wake him up because he looked so peaceful, but at this point we were both worried. I sighed again and flew over to our shared bed. Sometimes I forget that my wings were operational again.
"I just calmed her down, but who knows when the next one will be," I looked over at the black-haired girl sadly, "I hate seeing her so scared. Do you think Pitch is causing this?" To my surprise, Jack shook his head. He sat up and rubbed his eyes sleepily. I refrained from smiling at how he looked like a small child when he did that.
"I don't know how, but I just have a feeling that this isn't Pitch's doing," he took my hand in his and began rubbing my knuckles, "I think whatever happened to her at the Warren gave her some sort of temporary PTSD."
"Poor thing," I frowned, "I guess all we can do is give her as much care as possible right?" Jack nodded, agreeing with my suggestion.
"Why don't you try and get some sleep?" Jack kissed my cheek, "I'll keep watch over her for now."
"Jack, didn't we just switch?" I asked with concern. Even though I was exhausted, I was worried that he would get overly tired.
"That was a while ago," Jack shrugged casually, "besides, we're going to your palace tomorrow and I'm positive that you want to be awake for that." I looked away and smiled. He knew me too well.
"Oh alright," I gave up and laid back down, careful to not crush my wings, "but wake me up if anything really bad happens or if you need help." Jack chuckled and turned my head so that I was looking into his eyes. I was thankful that the darkness hid my scarlet face.
"Oh Tooth, always the caring type," he smiled, "but that's why I love you." Even if it wasn't the first time he said those three little words, it still made my heart flutter. Jack leaned down and oh so gently kissed my lips. I reached up and caressed his cheek, deepening the soft kiss just a bit. I wanted to cuddle up next to him and never leave, but I was extremely tired and he had to watch Angela.
"I love you too Jack," I said after we broke apart, "goodnight."
"Tooth, wake up!" someone whispered to me while shaking my shoulders gently, "wake up!" I sat up in bed with a start and was staring into the excitable face of Jack Frost. I rubbed my eyes and stretched, yawning.
"What's the matter? Is Angela okay?" I asked with concern, still a little groggy. I looked around the hospital room, surprised to find that the lights were turned on and the sun was peeking through the blinds.
"Angela's fine, but she is a bit tired and still won't talk about her nightmares," Jack said, pacing the floor and twirling his staff.
"What has you so excited?" I asked with a smile, "is it a special occasion or something?"
"Kind of," he suddenly floated in the air and perched on the top of his staff, "I'm just excited that we're going to your palace." He gave me one of his signature grins. Of course! How could I forget that we were going to my home today?! I jumped up from the bed, sped past Jack, and flew into the living room. Angela looked up from her cup and gave me a tired smile.
