"O-Oh. Well, I'm Midoriya Izuku. You know my mom and dad, I don't have any siblings. I just gather supplies around the forest to help feed my family." As soon as the words blurted out of his mouth he realised how small he was. It was on of the most average things to do as a peasant but, this man was a duke. He was powerful. It only led him to his most burning question, but he hesitated to speak up. Midoriya furrowed his brows, contemplating if he should go ahead.
"Um... So, why did you take me of all people..?""Convenience." He said confidently. Huh.. Midoriya didn't quite know what he was expecting but I guess.. I mean it wasn't the nicest thing, kinda hurt but it's something. Something was always better than nothing.
"People have been on my fucking ass to take on a nice little wife with a good background. I wanted a big fuck you to them and then I saw you. Picking up plants in the middle of the forest, it was cute. So I watched you a little, finding your dick of a father was being an abusive shit so, I took you in. You have an okay background and I can help you get back to being healthy seeing you're just skin and bones." He eyed his small arms, he was likely malnourished or something.
And wow was that an explanation. He took the guy to be a quiet tongued, short tempered alpha but I guess he can talk more than a few sentences at a time.
Midoriya looked at his own arms, realising he really must be malnourished. Honestly, he just took his small frame to him being an omega and took comparison to a larger, healthier alpha.
Maybe malnourished was just an over exaggeration, he was just probably a few pounds off of the average.
"Why didn't you ever try to run off?" Bakugou abruptly asked. Way to make it fucking personal.. the question made him uncomfortable, that much was clear on his face but he felt like he sorta owed Bakugou some answers for treating him nicely and getting him away from that house."He's got.. he's got people behind him. Back from the war, they'd do anything for him.. even slaughter the village." He scratched at his cheek nervously while revealing such information.
"Damn, he's been hanging that over your head." Midoriya nodded. I mean, Bakugou had done the same but he had that all his life. Long term shit was the worst. Yeah you get used to it, but that doesn't mean it won't wear you down.
Midoriya didn't really like to talk about his dad in any way shape or form. That much showed when he didn't ask anymore questions.
"No more questions?" Bakugou asked.
"N-Not that I can think of.." He answered back. Well this was getting a little dry..Bakugou got up from the bed again and walked to the entrance. He pushed the flap away from him, looking out on the setting sky. He turned back again,
"It's about dinner, think you're up for some soup?"
"S-Sure." Midoriya complied.
"Follow me then." Without waiting for him to follow, Bakugou walked out of the tent. His heart nearly jumped out his chest from all the sudden movements. He immediately rushed to follow Bakugou, not liking the thought of how he would act if he doesn't listen.
The sun was going down but the air was filled with a nice smell of burning wood and boiling soup. Meats and plants all mixed together, softening as they boil in pots hung over a fire. There was multiple little fires and pots, as it would likely take much too long, be it one large pot.
He kept close to the alpha he was most familiar with as the stares were overwhelming. A lot glances here and there, some even simply staring without a care.
It made him nervous as it was very clear he was the only omega there. If any were to try something to him.. he would be defended right..? Bakugou wouldn't let that happen.. but then again, he didn't know him. What if he was going to be tossed around like some play thing?
A shiver ran up his spine at his dangerous imagination. He didn't want such events to happen. But, all he could to if place faith into this man leading him away. He really was the only one to be trusted. Who else could he rely on?
The man led him to a separate fire, a little ways from most of the men. There was two familiar faces but one he had yet to meet. He was obviously an alpha too, not just his scent giving it away but an equally matured body.
He looked as if he stood, he would be taller than Bakugou himself! His hair was black at the night and very lengthy, likely reaching to half of his back. He couldn't see all that much of him since only his side was revealed to him.
"Bakugou! Oh hey! It's the little cutie too!" The yellow haired beta waved to them, quickly standing up as well and bowing to Bakugou. Midoriya scooted closer to Bakugou, not being comfortable with the newish face. The other two followed, bowing to Bakugou who didn't quite care.
"Hey Bakugou, hey Midoriya! Glad you joined us for dinner." Kirishima smiled brightly. Midoriya glanced at the other one, the stranger, who sat back down once his greeting was completed.
"Go sit over there." Bakugou pointed at an empty log near the fire, between the stranger and the other log where Kirishima and the blond shared. He completely ignored poor Kirishima who didn't seem upset over it. It must be something normal.
Midoriya walked over to the log cautiously and sat down. He watched Bakugou look at the soup and roll his eyes in annoyance.
"Put some more fucking water in there, it's too thick." He scowled at the blond who seemed to be the one responsible for the soup."Thick?? It's how I always make it!" He whined.
"If you haven't noticed Kaminari, he's skin and bones. His stomach can't handle all that shit and I'm not cleaning up puke." Bakugou argued back. Kaminari smirked and got up to go grab more water. He looked as if he connected something stupid.Today was weird..
