"Washi! Get down here." Washi Hotura groaned, what on earth could her mother possibly want this early in the morning?
"Mama...?" Mama was stood at the foot of the stairs, her hands on her hips, looking at the teenager with reproach. Her mother looked just like Washi when she did that. Blonde hair cut to her shoulders, a small nose, big brown eyes and right now, a scowl on her lips. "Mama, what's wrong?"
"I want you to take your brother to the new café that just opened up. He's been complaining about it all week, and I haven't the time to fuss about with him. Here." Her mother handed her three bills, "I'm not sure if it's expensive or not. Be safe, I have to go." The older woman popped her head around the door frame to say goodbye to Yumi, the younger of the two siblings, before running out of the door and closing it behind her.
"Yumi, I'll just get dressed then we can leave, okay?"
"OK!" Washi sighed, walking back up the stairs to her room. She dressed quickly, walking back down to the kitchen with a toothbrush in her mouth. "I'm ready!" She sent the small boy a toothpasty smile and laughed at his disgusted expression.
"OK, OK, I'm ready." She rinsed her mouth quickly, grabbing a small bag and a bottle of water for the younger boy. "Come on, let's go see what this cafes about."

Whatever Yumi had expected, Washi didn't think this was it. A very pink building shaped like a cake stood before them, a queue of school girls reaching out the door. "You sure you want to eat here? We could go somewhere less busy?"
Yumi shrugged, a smile on his round face. "I don't mind waiting." Washi groaned, letting the small boy pull her to the back of the queue. They weren't waiting too long before they reached the front and a young waitress stood before them.
"Welcome to Café Mew Mew, how many will be eating with us today?" Washi smiled at the waitress and asked for two. She seemed nervous, Washi noted. Maybe just flustered from all of the customers.
She left the two at a window table and Yumi immediately started searching the menu. Washi looked around her, taking the place in. It was cute, she supposed. She understood the appeal. Her eyes wandered around, watching the waitresses bustle about. Imagine being stuck inside working on a day like this. The worst.
"Washi? What can I have?" The girl grinned at the boy, leaning conspiritally toward him, she beckoned him closer so they were whispering.
"If you don't tell Mama, you can have whatever you want." Yumi's eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly. She smiled, leaning back in her chair, he was so easy to please.
"Have you decided what you would like to order?" The waitress who seated them had returned, a notebook in hand.
"Could I have the Chocolate fudge cake please?" The girl smiled and nodded, writing the order down. "Oh, oh, and some vanilla bean cake!" The waitress laughed, looking at Washi to check. She nodded.
"Of course, and you?" Washi ordered some tea for them both and handed the girl the menu back.
'I'll be right back with your orders." she smiled again and walked off.
Not even five minutes later, she was back again, balancing two plates with out desserts on them, 'Enjoy!'
We wasted no time digging in; it was delicious!
Ten minutes later, we were finished and happily content. I stood and took Yumi's hand, pulling him with me to the counter, I was served instantly.
A tall boy, with brown hair in a pony tail that swung way past his waist, dressed in a white shirt with a bowtie and braces appeared behind the counter, the outfit was adorable, not to mention he was pretty cute too.
'Hello, are you finished?' I smiled and nodded, placing two ¥100 notes on the counter, the boy went to give me the change but I shook my head,
'Keep it, I like it here,' the boy smiled warmly at me, causing butterflies to errupt in my stomach, and thanked me.
'Bye bye,' the boy waved in response as we walked out of the café,
'So...' Yumi looked at me, 'Ice-cream...?'
